Time Bomb is ticking away on television and how! The show's popularity has certainly undermined the popularity of several other popular soaps on primetime. The latest TAM ratings (an auditing agency that rates television programmes) revealed that Zee's thriller had achieved a viewer rating of 2.34 in the Hindi speaking market on June 27. Consequent to the launch of Time Bomb in the 10 to 11 pm time slot on June 20, ratings for Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, ruling dramas on this Star Plus slot until now, dipped miserably. On June 27, Kahaani… and Kyunki… saw a decline in ratings by 32% and 44% respectively. Also, research indicates that in the said time band, male viewership on Zee TV increased by 210% and female viewership increased by 323%. The increase in the number of eyeballs watching Time Bomb can be largely attributed to a fall of 30% male viewership for Kahaani… and Kyunki… each. Kahaani… has seen a 39% fall in female viewership and Kyunki… a 50% fall in the same category. Abhijit Saxena, Business Head, Zee TV, says, "We have left no stone unturned to promote Time Bomb and the TAM ratings are a clear indicator of our success. Time Bomb has been able to draw viewers away from their daily dose of drama. With the performance of Time Bomb and the slew of new shows lined up in the coming weeks, Zee TV is on its way to finding the pivotal position that it has long deserved." Ketan Mehta's latest offering, Time Bomb, premiered on television on June 20. Time Bomb, an international political thriller about global terror with its epicenter in South Asia, stars television heartthrobs Rajeev Khandelwal, Akashdeep Sehgal, Amrita Saluja, and Kay Kay. |
