Hi fellow dekians, I have been a silent reader for these forums, but I thought I would start a post.
I have been a loyal viewer for Dek and I must say Manyata is an interesting character. Yes, there were times where we wanted to pull her hair out or slap her for being so childish, but I think her Yuvrani transformation has some what gave a remdemption for her non-heroine character.
I think a lot of people have misunderstood her character from Friday's epsiode. All I see is "Manyata is using Uday" or "she is still so selfish" If you ask me, she hasn't done anything selfish as far as I am concerned with last night's episode. COME ON GUYS! Manyata didn't do anything conceited or childish-no way she acted like a true and smart yuvrani.
Let's start with the J and M scene. Did you see the way M set J in her place without out beating the living day lights out of her? Especially the fact that J actually planed to kill M? Just think what Moniya would have done, probably make a new J out of the old one. But instead of ripping her to pieces, she gave J a chance. Tell her about her conversation with Uday or bite the poisioned apple which I think she never intended J to do. She truly thought like a smart queen and also a very smart older sister. Did you see the fear in J's eyes? J never feared Moniya, but Manyata, she did crap her pants.
AND AH, as for the Uday and M scene. This is where we get "oh man M is so rude and selfish and ect., ect., ect . With all due to respect I am a HUGE manveer fan couldn't and careless for Akash really, but don't you think M has atleast the right to know what happened to him? I think people fell in love with Uday's character so much, that they had forgotten the actual reality of the situation, not just in the show, but in real life. Yes, Uday did so much for M and she should be thankful yes, but would you honestly return your best friend's love if he/she told you that they were involved in your lover's murder and didn't say anything about it? And do you think it is fair for Manyata to accept Uday's proposal without telling her the truth first? Marriages never go through with lies...
I Love Uday, but I think Manyata has done justice to the situation. And instead of going all Akash, Akash, she gave Uday a chance. No temper tandrums, or blaming him even just "If you want to prove me your love, make me lose in a sword match."
Tell me isn't this better than "UDAY HOW DARE YOU HALKAT VERA YOU WILL GO TO JAIL AND DIE FOR KILLING MY AKASH!đĄ" Then we would be like . Manyata acted like the bigger person, she acted like a queen. đ I hardly see M using Uday at all. He lied to her and she is giving a chance to him to prove himself.
PLUS a Manveer sword fight! Doesn't that get extra brownee points!
Sorry for writing a long post, but seeing all the misunderstandings towards M protrayal of her character compelled me to write this. Nevertheless I still love this show and mean no offence to anyone!
