Omg that was an unbelievable update. Loving the caring side to Arnav & do love the way he blew his top when Khushi was injured blaming the family for not looking after her. Way to go Arnav baby loved his superiority & authoritivness. They definately needed to be told especially Payal. I mean what kind of sister is she?? Totally awesome & that slime ball Shyam how low will he stoop. Poor Khushi always at the receiving end - lets hope our Arnav baby can shower her with so much love that she can put this nightmare behind them. Plz plz continue soon & PM when done 😊 😊 😊

The Endless Night

"This is the target!" Arnav threw the envelope on the table. The private detective that he had hired was one of the best in the country. He took the envelope and put it in his suit's pocket without looking at the content. He was very calm, calculative and not hurried in his moves which made Arnav liked him better than others.

"One week! Report me everything the scumbag does, I'm sure he will slip." Detective Oberoi nodded and left. Arnav turned to his brother, who has been unnervingly quite during the entire session with Det. Oberoi. He knew Akash was in shock but he needed him to respond, he needed all the help and strength his brother could offer to fight this battle.

"Akash..are you okay?" he touched Akash's shoulder.

"Woh..Bhai..jijaji..I never thought..how are we going to tell Di? And Payal! How could she hide this from me?" Akash was working himself to fine fury, Arnav understood that it was Payal hiding the truth from him made him more angry than anything.

"Akash..don't blame her. This is not an easy thing to deal with Akash..it's just so complicated..they were too afraid..Khushi, Payal..the whole family, afraid to hurt Di, to hurt us. He deceived them too, very cunningly and if you want to blame any one, blame him! Show your anger to him not to Payal! I was angry too when Khushi hide it from me but I understand now..even I can't find myself brave enough to tell Di and break her perfect world, her perfect dream, it is just same for them..even for you, right?"

"Bhai..maybe you are right. Don't take me wrong for saying this but it's not the same..Khushiji didn't tell you, I can understand that. I actually agree with her decision of not telling you when she knew it, I don't blame her at all. Bhai please don't be surprised..Khushiji had rough time with you, you were hating her downright without any reason. You never believed her, blamed her and accused her of so many things. If she chose not to tell you then I can perfectly see her reason, she knew your temper and she was afraid that you would put all the blame on her..I'm sorry bhai you would have done exactly that if she had told you then, when you are angry you just..and she knew Di is everything for you and she didn't want to hurt you. She broke her engagement! She did everything that she could to save Di's marriage. No, I'm not upset or angry with what Khushiji did in fact I respect and love her more now. You are very lucky Bhai to have her in your life. But Payal.. Payal and I it's different Bhai, I have never given her a chance to distrust me! I stood by her every time. Before our marriage we promised that we won't hide anything from each other, if not to Di she should have told me Bhai no matter what she should have told me before things went to this level, I would have done something..anything..Khushiji is her little sister, my little sister! She should have known that how dangerous for her to stay in the same house with Sham without you to support her, Payal should have protected Khushiji! She should have told me and she failed Bhai, she just failed!"

Arnav always admired Akash. His brother was rare, he knew Akash's silence was nothing but his strength. He admired him for his rationality, Akash was a mix of him and Khushi. He was ever calm and right, ever aware of others' feelings, ever intelligent in dealing with both brain and heart unlike him. What he heard from Akash today made lot of sense to him, Akash was right. He didn't give Khushi any reason to trust him. Khushi didn't give him any reason to doubt her but he did nonetheless. Payal had no reason to not believe in Akash but she did not believe him enough and that definitely hurts. Akash was feeling exactly as Khushi felt when he told her the reason of their marriage, hurt for not being able to be trusted by the person they love, disappointed for being doubted by their love when it was not their fault at all.

Shantivan's door was opened but none than the eldest daughter in law, the jewel of the family, Khushi. Her bright smile short lived the moment the looked at her jiju. He looked so distraught, his eyes were full of pain and she didn't know the reason. Her heart went for him, this was a man she really looked up for, her jijaji was one of the best people she had encountered in her life and if someone made him this sad she was not going to forgive that person.

"Jijaji..kya hua?"

"Khushiji..I'm really sorry. I didn't know..I should have.."he didn't complete his sentence and hugged her.

Khushi was surprised and had clue of what was happening, Akash held her by shoulder, "I promise..nothing will happen to you or to Bhai because of him!"

Khushi looked at her husband, he nodded his head indicating Akash knew everything.

"Jiju..it's not your fault..I'm sorry for not telling you all this before..I was afraid and I asked jiji not to tell you as well.."she noticed the change in his eyes, she recognized that look very well. Her jijaji was upset at her jiji, he was sad because jiji hide it from him. He was disappointed with jiji!

"Jiju..it's not her fault.." Akash cut her before she completed her defense against Payal. "No, Khushiji. I don't wish to talk about that now..I'm not angry at you," he cupped her cheek affectionately and left to his room ignoring Payal who just came out of the kitchen, smiling at her husband and dumbfounded when he ignored her. Payal didn't give a minute before following him to their room.

"Why did you tell him?" Khushi was shooting Arnav accusing look.

"He needs to know Khushi..I need my brother to handle this. We can't hide this from him forever!"

"But he is angry at jiji..it's not her fault..I should..," Arnav stopped her.

"Khushi..jaan let them figure it out on their own..please..,"

"Chote..when did you come?" Khushi couldn't say anything with Anjali at present. She still gave him a seething look and went to Anjali, helped her to climb down the stairs.

"Just now Di, Di are you ok? Why you look so dull?"

"Nothing..Chote it's just pregnancy.." Anjali started to cry. Arnav and Khushi instantly seated her on the sofa held her hands.

"Di..tell me what's wrong? Shall I call the doctor?"

"No..Chote. I'm being emotional for no reason. It's not the first time your jijaji is going outstation but I just want him home..he said it's important and had to go."

Arnav clenched his jaw, angry but he too needed him away so that he could watch his moves and he believed his jijaji would do something gravely that could be used to unmasked him in front of his Di.

"Di..please stop crying, it's not good for the baby."

"Yes..Di. Come let me make you some milk with badam..or do you crave to eat anything else" Khushi successfully distracted Anjali and Anjali started to list out so many things that she craved to eat in one breath leaving Khushi laughing and promising to prepare all that for her but today they will begin with hot jalebis.

Arnav just looked at two most important women of his life, laughing, talking merrily heading towards the kitchen. His confidence renewed, he believed no matter what Khushi and him will help his Di to face the upcoming turmoil that was awaiting for her.

To say Khushi was angry will be a understatement, she was furious and ready to break something, especially the thick skull of her arrogant husband. Nothing was good between her jiji and jijaji. She has been watching them for few days, Akash was not relenting at all. She tried to talk to Payal, but she refused say anything but that it's was her fault and she will take care of it on her own without her little sister's help. Her jijaji was behaving very much like the Laad Governer. He blatantly refused to give in. Payal has been trying very hard. She knew it's her mistake. Akash was right she shouldn't have hide from him but it wasn't because she didn't trust him. The Raizada's couldn't believe the turn of events in their household, the ideal, sweet couple was having a tiff and the ever spitting the fire couple has toned down a bit at least in front of them.

The dinner was a sorry event that night, Khushi was upset, really upset. If only she didn't remember that she loved her jijaji and probably he had a valid reason to be angry she would have smacked his head for treating her jiji in such manner. Akash was being bit ruthless, showing the whole family that he was angry with Payal, refusing to eat when she served and served himself. He was even sitting far away from her not bothered to look at her. Khushi tried her very best to not loose it when she saw her jiji tearing up and went to bed without eating anything.

She felt her heart stabbed with pain. It all seemed useless now her forced marriage, her stay in Shantivan, didn't she do everything he asked for her jiji's happiness? And why he went against his words now? He promised he won't ruin her jiji's marriage! He lied! He was playing new game. She should have known when he was behaving so good to her, he will never change!

"Are you happy now?" Khushi shouted, didn't wait for him to even close the door.

"Khushi..what are you saying? Why are you so angry?" he sound exhausted.

"What am I saying? Don't you know? The almighty ASR doesn't know what his slave his saying?"

"Khushi, what nonsense are you talking? Khushi love,please..I'm tired just get to the point?"

He had a tough day, too many deals and details, meetings and incompetency of some of his employees that delayed his work made him furious. He preferred punctuality. Timing was the key for his success, it was very crucial to crack a deal with desired terms. You push it and close it at the right time that the opponent can't do anything but to agree with you. To make things worse Det.Oberoi's report on Sham was taking a very ugly shape. He didn't know how to make it easier for his Di. At the moment his Khushi was not helping in calming his nerves as well.

"Why do you have to tell jijaji about Shamji? You should have known jiju won't forgive jiji for hiding it from him! You did it deliberately, to ruin my jiji's life! Isn't that what you wished to do from the moment you laid your eyes on me?" she shrieked.

"Khushi, we have talked about this before. I don't have any intention to ruin Payal's life. I didn't even mean it when I said it before. I'm telling you again let them resolve their problem on their own. Akash needed to know and Payal should have told him before!"

"She wanted to! I stopped her for her wedding's sake. Her wedding was already cancelled once, thanks to you! You can't blame her for being afraid. I told her not to say a word for your sister! For you! I knew Anjaliji won't be able to take it. Her world will collapse and that will break you because your sister is your world! That's why I told her not to say anything! We did it for your family and now after you, your brother is ruining my sister's life! What is it with the men in your family against us!"

"Khushi you are being completely unreasonable and you know it! Akash loves Payal and no one knows that better than you. He is just little angry and he will come around, I will talk to him. And since when it's my family? My sister? It's yours too Khushi! You are upset and angry, I understand that but this is not my Khushi! My khushi doesn't know to hate. She knows only to love, to care! What are you doing to yourself?"

"Your Khushi? Hah..I have been fool! Now i'm behaving as what you believe me to be! Selfish and calculative. I do know to hate, I have learnt from the best and I hate you! If I didn't meet you that day, if only you didn't release that blasted video, I wouldn't have beeen troubled by those ruffians in Lucknow and I wouldn't have met that scoundrel Sham who acted like hero to save me. I wouldn't have been forced to get engage to him. I wouldn't have been forced to marry a monster like you! How I wish I have never met you! How I wish not to see your face anymore!"

Khushi was known for her hasty behavior, though she didn't mean a thing she said, the damage was already done. What she saw that night was an avatar on ASR that she never knew of, a defeated one. He gave up. He knew he lost it. The pain in his eyes pricked hers, tears was streaming down her cheeks. She turned, her back to him, she couldn't say anything, was too shocked with her own words.

"You are angry because Akash is not forgiving Payal but aren't you doing the same Khushi? I know I made mistakes, grave ones. I regret every single one of them but never, never ever I regret the day you fell into my arms. You are right. I'm a monster and I don't deserve you. And Khushi your wish is my command. You don't have to see me again!" he left.

"Arnavji...I'm sorry.." but it was too later, she faced only an empty room. She shouldn't have said all that. She crumpled to the floor, cried the whole night because her husband kept his promise, he left and didn't return.
