The very same way Roli and Avika are difft people and if Avika was romancing Manish in real life I will be horrified but I am totally fine with an 18 year old girl romancing a 24 yr old guy. As I mentioned earlier as well in a previous post addressed to you that you are mixing the actor with the character and if you just forget their ages and watch Rosid scenes for their chemistry you will also agree that they make an amazing pair.
You just said that you think Avika is a fabulous etc then why are you hindering her growth as an actor by restricting her to only the cliched "young girl" type roles? Why dont you want to see her experiment with different roles.
As for the romance element between Rosid...what romance are you talking about? What romance have the CV's shown between the couple? Rosid holding hands or Sid kissing Rosid on her forehead.. Is that romance in your opinion? In my opinion Indian shows have very rarely shown any kind of romance between an onscreen couple its just a suggestion of romance...they tend to leave a lot to the viewers imagination. Ram and Priya's kiss in BALH was a huge shocker to the sensibilities of an average Indian viewer and I dont think such a thing will every be repeated on television for a long time.
As far as pairing young actresses with older men goes...which show are you referring to? Ram & Priya are similar in age, so are Khushi and Arnav and most other actors in most shows. In which show is a 25 yr old playing a mother to a 30 yr old actor.. Do you have concrete examples? Please provide concrete examples and we can continue our discussion then.
Thank you for your opinion. However, once again I will like to remind people to refrain from using negative terms for people who disagree with you (as indicated by the bold^^^).
I disagree with your analogy with Shyam and Abbas. A proper analogy would be if the actress who plays Nanhi from Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha played a teenage boy's girlfriend or the actress who plays Raavi from Parvarish played an older actor's wife (and this one is actually a teenager). These two actresses are children, and so is Avika. I realize how hard it is for some people to digest Avika's age, because she looks older than 14. But it is what it is.
Forehead kissing in the context of a husband and wife is a romantic scene in my opinion. Keep in mind that I'm not calling this disgusting b/c it's an innocent act, but I'm pointing out the context.
Here are examples regarding how actress's ages don't match up with characters ages. The "25 year old actress playing a 30 year old actor's mother/grandmother" is what I was predicting for the future of entertainment btw. In this post, I mentioned that women older than a certain age get the short end of the stick.

The actress who plays Krishna's mother clearly looks younger than the actor who plays her father. You can easily see the difference with the cast pictures.
-Ram Milayi Jodi
Mona's mother looked more like her older sister. Anukalp's grandmother barely had any wrinkles and did not look like Bijal's mother whatsoever.
-Bade Achche Lagte Hai
No problems with Priya and Ram's character. But Ram's stepmother looks younger than him and is supposedly the mother of four children who look like her younger siblings.
-Parvarish
Two actresses in their early thirties are playing the mothers of 15-16 year olds.
-Dekha Ek Khwab
Aruna Irani plays the grandmother of girls who are in their early twenties. Her daughter in law does not look like the mother of young adults.
-Maryada
In real life the actress who played Uttara was actually younger than the actor who played Aditya. Yet she was his aunt who had a teenage daughter.
-Sasural Simar Ka
The actress who plays Prem and Sid's mother is only ten years older than Manish in real life. As for the grandmother, just look at Jayati Bhatia's own picture in the cast page.
And those are SOME examples I thought of.
Also, I'm not the first person to point this out. Here's a quote from the article:

This is why I love Sanaya and Rati Pandey. Despite being in their late twenties (bordering old age I guess in TV serial industry), they can still play the leads in their shows. Then again, this can also be due to their huge success in Miley Jab Hum Tum.
