Initially I was a little upset at the'killing' track and I usually haven't minded the recent comedy tracks. Then when I thought about it I think the absurdity of the plot just reflects Khushi's desperation to get an answer to her marriage. Khushi rationalises that Arnav doesn't believe in God so how could he possibly believe in astrology but at this point she can't think of any thing else and this scenario definetly seems like a possibility to her belief system...she just needs something/anything to work with. Then hearing Arnav speaking to Lavanya just confirms what she is thinking (remember Khushi doesn't know why Lavanya and Arnav broke their engagement and being in Khushi mode she put 2+2 together and came up with 5).
Yes, bringing in a comedy track after a couple of days of intense and beautiful drama is a bit of a letdown but with Khushi's character it's not totally beyond the realm of believability. The comedy track I'm having an issue with is the mammi/ bhoot track. If any one's character has suffered in this drama I think it's Manorams...regardless of her sharp tongue and insecurities Manorama used to be presented as a fairly perceptive character...remember when she told Mammaji that she thought Shyam was having an affair as he was never at home. She was also the first to sense something between Khushi and Arnav on the night of the Sangeet (badi behen ka saath choti free). Love Mammi in her one liners...can't stand her extended speeches.Anyway, watching Sanaya and Barun in action makes most things bearable...so no complaints.

But can't blame Khushi as well dear. If I were in Khushi's place, I would think my swamiji is suffering from mood swings due to his pregnancy or is depressed, thanks to his post menopausal stress...such is ASRs hate and love...changes every second and keeps coming back every minute...
