I feel that dadisa and bhairon compromise their dignity by just running off to all sorts of places without the full information.
If they have so many specifications about a boy -- then why not just ascertain all these details before hand and also ask for a photograph of the boy to boot, and clarify expectations beforehand -- rather than going there, getting angry, giving long lectures to the boy's family about social propriety etc. etc.
What the people have said is absolutely correct within the paradigm/social framework that they live in.
It will be difficult for a 24 year old once divorced woman to find a match through a matchmaking process. People will overlook the social 'flaws' only if they are in love.
i think it would have been very hard for madan singh to find a husband for asha through this matchmaking process as a widow. It is only abhishek and others like him who would fall in love with her, get to know her and decide to marry her and not be bothered about some child or adult widowhood.

True! Only people like Abhishek or Shyam fall in love with Anandi. And that's the kind of person Anandi deserves. I think , this match making episode is just another message related to child marriages to show how hard it gets to marry a girl in village a second time despite the girl being educated , financially well off and having the full support of her in-laws. I hope they stop this kind of search soon. Another arranged marriage would be a big NO!

Yes. I really think they should consult anandi and get her buy-in and views before they do all this.
Can you imagine if she goes to a second home and is ill treated once again by the husband?
And anyway, she should fall in love this time.

If Anandi pursued higher studies, this would not have been a problem. A highly educated woman is sought after in these days. There are many broadminded people out there. And dadisa should also show some broadmindedness in case the boy is from some other caste or religion but otherwise fully eligible.

Singh family is doing what any traditional parents would do...find a match through matchmaking...they cant sit and wait for some guy to fall for anandi...Its the metchmakers fault tht she didnt verify all the information before sending them.
Asha and sugna were lucky tht good guys like shyam and abhishek fell in love with them...
shyam is litrally a saint...I have never seen any guy in real life who'll be ready to accept a pregnent widow...and accept her son wholeheartdely.
I wish Anandi gets someone as good as shyam...he's the best guy in BV right now.
Aandi will eventually get another guy through love marriage only...in arranged marriage people are more choosy...they'll prefer and unmarried girl than a divorcee.

In villages, it is next to impossible to find proper match for Anandi. They will get mostly defective pieces in the form of bridegrooms.

I think the whole matchmaking thing is shown just enhance drama and show how much they love their daughter in law who has come to become their daughter!!!!

and also they want to show Jagat's insecurities and Singh families increased anger at him as he will be breaking one prospective alliance!!!!

Its just to show the enhanced insensitivity of the doctor couple!!!
