aaliya has said those words many times before in the show and might say in the episodes to come but today she meant it like never before. every time she says it the importance of these words keeps growing as she comes to terms with the gravity of the situation she is in- a mission which she knows is much more than mere three months of her life . today when she said she was ready, there was no apa or daijaan in FBs...this mission is not just her decision but it's her belief now as she wants to do it for herself, her country. the title song playing in the bg today was beautiful.
ranveer going out of his way and opening up to aaliya about his family was so good. it looked as if he was just trying to say sorry but somewhere it went beyond that. the tough cop image was quite in favor of the mission and there was no reason for ranveer to show aaliya that he is not emotionless or be so desperate for aaliya to forgive him...it jus shows the level on which they've connected. they don't realise but they share a trust which is hard to find even between ppl who've known each other a lifetime. but it happens, sometimes we find a person we don't know but we trust him for no reason. this trust is the reason aaliya now identifies with this mission.
but today was a complete aaliya episode and i'm loving this girl. its so nice to see such a layered female character and deblina pulls it off so effortlessly. at the outset aaliya looks like an ever-complaining, irresponsible, pampered girl who cribs about onions in her sandwhich. but then she's the same girl who bailed Rishi out of drugs. she may not be serious like nargis but she's not dreamy like meghna. she was always aware of her reality. she was carefree because her aapa needed to scold her, see her have fun and protect her like she could not protect her brother. nafisa is the vulnerable one. aaliya's family's life as nafisa said revolved around her little tantrums and her smile.
its easy to see ranveer's passion and dedication for his work but aaliya can be equally determined if not more. waiting to see more shades of her including ofcorse the romantic aaliya. aaliya is complex for an actor but deblina makes it look so easy.
