Arti is at the police station, schooling a sweaty Govind Shankar about criminal psychology in front of interested journalists who're noting down her every word and nodding along. Arti remembers the scene when she found Pooja and says even if somebody tossed the house, it could be they did afterwards, not when they shot Pooja. GS pounces on her and says she's only come to insult a hardworking and honest police officer like himself by hinting that he was the one who tossed the house. Arti looks him in the eye with a satisfied expression and gently points out that she didn't say any such thing.
GS is taken aback as the press waits to hear what he says to that. Arti leaves and a shaken GS invites everyone to sit and eat chai and biscoot. He thinks to himself that Elder Tiwari is quite something else. He calls Brij, who as usual is in his SUV doing veylagiri around town. Brij gets irritated with GS and tells him to stop praising Arti and start telling him what she did. Suddenly the SUV lurches to a sudden stop and Brij is thrown forward, dropping his cell phone. He barks at the driver but then sees what made him stomp on the brakes - Arti is standing in the middle of the road glaring at him.
(Who knows how she knew where to find him. I'm just happy she did find him because this next scene is awesome!)
Brij mutters under his breath that Arti has been showing up suddenly at a lot of places of late. (Zor ke jhatke courtesy Elder Tiwari have only just begun, Brijbhushan Pandey!) He slowly gets out of the SUV with his sad face on but can't resist shiftily eyeing the surroundings to check whether someone is observing them. He goes up to her and starts his sad tale of woe but before he even gets two words in, Arti rips into him and tells him exactly what she thinks of him. Brij tries to say how much he loves Pooja and she sneers that he loves Pooja so much, he couldn't even find the courage to find out how she is, if she's going to survive, what kind of treatment she's undergoing, nothing. If he loves Pooja so much, why can't he tell her who shot her sister?
Brij looks down and slowly says Rangoli. Arti is shocked. Brij says that's what she wants to hear. She wants to hear that Rangoli shot Pooja but that's not the truth. He dramatically clenches his teeth and says even he's dying to find out who the robbers were. Arti asks him if he bought the fake theory as well. Brij says it's not a fake theory, there's a whole report on it, he's read it and he believes it. Arti shakes her head and says she was on the phone with Pooja before the shooting and she knows very well it's all a packet of lies. And she should have known he would be a part of it.
Brij says he knows Arti has always hated him, has always misunderstood him but he loves Pooja. She cuts in and says she doesn't misunderstand him at all. Today all her doubts have been put to rest. She tells him that he has no idea of the lengths she'll go to for her sister. And she will definitely have her revenge on him or his wife, whoever is responsible. Brij looks shocked and pained and says but he loves Pooja, he could never hurt her. Arti tells him to remember what she said and walks off.
As she walks away, Brij's expression turns from pained lover to calculating SOB as he realizes Arti is going to be a big problem. At the haveli, Daddaji has come to the same conclusion. He asks Rangoli about her opinion of Arti Tiwari and Rangoli says the girl looked her right in the eye as if she was going to do her harm. Daddaji is thoughtful and says this matches the reports he's been given. He asks about Pooja's condition and Rangoli says the doctors says she should've been dead by now but it's as if someone's prayers are keeping her alive. She wonders if his dear darling son in law is the one who's doing all the praying.
Brij walks in just in time to hear this and tells her that if she has something to say, she should say it to him, there's not need to trouble her father. Rangoli gives him a disgusted look and walks away from there. (Here're some words I never thought I'd say - Team Rangoli!) Daddaji tells Brij that he has to handle Pooja from now on and Brij says that's not an issue. Arti is the more dangerous one. Daddaji says it's time someone tightened her reins. Brij says whatever he does, please keep Brij informed because the Elder Tiwari is not like the others, there's a lot more iron in her makeup. Daddaji says ominously that even iron can be cut.
At the hospital, Krish is desperately missing Arti and wondering how he can handle everything when he sees Sumitra and Bhavna coming with Harivansh. Harivansh has a blind, focused look on his face as he marches up the hospital corridor, tension mounting with every step. Sumitra tells him that everything looks more serious in a hospital but he isn't to worry - the doctors say Pooja will be ok. She sees Krish standing there and asks him for confirmation. Krish can't meet her eyes and finally confesses that Pooja has gone into a coma. Bhavan is crying. Sumitra nearly faints. Harivansh doesn't say anything but he moves like a robot toward the ICU but the policemen shove him back.
Krish gets angry and tells them that this is Pooja's dad. The policeman slaps Krish and says he doesn't care who he is, he can't go near the ICU. Sumitra grabs an angry Krish and an angry Bhavna tells the policemen off and introduces herself as the daughter of an MLA. She says she's going to complain to her father and the men jeer at her. Harivansh sits down, shattered.
Arti comes to know of the whole thing and can't stop crying. Bhavna tries to make her feel better but Arti says not to give her false comfort. She hates lies. She points to her parents and says she could always say with pride that her family as the most principled and honest family and now look what has become of them. She says Pooja's one mistake can't cost them this much.
Suddenly there is a commotion out front and Daddaji arrives to explain to the media that he is here to visit the talented and tragically shot singer that his daughter Rangoli Pandey has been promoting for so long. Arti looks on angrily. Bhavna excuses herself to go meet Daddaji who is surprised to see her there. Bhavna says she's a friend of Pooja's and her family. She tells Daddaji about the behavior of the police and Daddaji theatrically shouts at the senior official escorting him to find the men who misbehaved with the Tiwaris and order them to apologize. He also tells the media off for hounding a family in a time of crisis. Arti is watching all this with a cynical expression on her face.
Daddaji then asks Bhavna in a lowered tone to point out Arti Tiwari to him. She does and he finally meet Arti's eyes. He tells Bhavna to arrange a private meeting with Arti for him. He then walks over to the ICU in a wave of namaskars as the entire hospital turns out to greet him. The Tiwaris are sitting there, numb.
Arti, her eyes wiped of all tears, comes to meet Daddaji. He puts his hand on her shoulder and genially asks her if he can call her daughter. Arti politely shoves his hand off her and says her name is Arti Tiwari and her father's name is Harivansh Tiwari. Daddaji finally gets what Brij has been saying to him. He then says a bunch of self serving crap about how it's so hard to share blame and how Pooja will be the one to suffer the most if the whole truth were to come out. And how the Tiwaris are going to suffer if this matter isn't hushed up. Arti looks angrier and angrier as he speaks. He says if she needs help of any kind, just tell him. If she has any complaints, then she can come to him.
Arti smartly asks him where she should go to complain about Brijbhushan Pandey and Rangoli Pandey. He has no answers for that. Arti leaves him openmouthed to go back to her family.
(YEAH BABY!)
The policemen sulkily apologize to the Tiwaris and now that they have permission, Sumitra and Arti convince Harivansh to go see Pooja. Sumitra says Pooja must be waiting for him to call her. Harivansh silently allows himself to be helped to his feet.
Pooja is lying there, tiny, vulnerable and alone on the bed, hooked up to machines. Sumitra goes over and asks her to get up. She kisses her and calls her her baby and says her father has come to see her. She shakes her gently as if she's simply asleep. She tells Pooja not to be afraid because she won't let Harivansh scold her. She wouldn't come to see them, so they've come to get her. As soon as the four of them are together, she knows everything will be all right.
Harivansh can't bear to see his baby daughter like that and his face crumples in silent grief as he looks away. Arti can't bear the whole scene and quickly goes outside to sob. Inside, Sumitra continues to lavish love on her daughter and beg her to get up while Pooja lies unconscious.
Precap: Brij is sitting with Daddaji and Giridhar. He says if Arti and the media get together then the results will be explosive. They have to maintain silence on this issue and let it all go quiet. Daddaji looks like he agrees. Brij says he's got a plan to keep Arti in check and even as they speak, the web is falling into place. In the hospital, Arti is shocked when the nurse administers a pregnancy test on Pooja.

AHHAHAH!! Remember how just yesterday we were all talking about how it will be so sweet when the news of Baby Brija comes out? Oh dear, oh dear. This show - it never gives us what we think we're going to get!
But Brij and Daddaji are mistaken if they think Arti will be scared of bringing disrepute on her family in the quest for justice. This is a girl who didn't hesitate to break her own engagement for her principles and didn't blink once in the face of her ex-fiance's threats.
