Mulund housewife Aruna Narula, 45, who was arrested on Thursday along with two other housewives for shoplifting at a Malad mall, has acted in TV serials, including the popular Balika Vadhu and Jhansi Ki Rani.

"Narula played the role of the matchmaker Bhavri in Balika Vadhu, and in Jhasi ki Rani she portrayed the character of the Queen of More province.

She has also done several smaller roles in other serials, including Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein," Assistant Police Inspector Radhyeshyam Sharma of Bangur Nagar Police Station said.

The police got this information when they learnt that Narula had been arrested earlier in a gambling case registered at the Mulund Police Station, and that there are other cases registered against her as well.

"We asked for records of the three suspects from different police stations and the Mulund police replied positively," Sharma said. In December 2009, the Mulund police arrested Narula and four others for gambling from a flat in the plush Redwood Society of the area.

That ban probably got revoked with time but In real life too she was banned from shopping😆😆😆
