While I do not want a candyfloss character - I definitely don't want BBP negative. The serial runs amok with baddies. And I absolutely do not want a soulless poet. As of yet the CVs have shown us a person with resolve and ethics (for the most part) who is also a shrewd politician - someone whom both Machiavelli and Chanakya would approve off. Keep in mind it takes both vision and shrewdness to do great political things - to make and break nations. It took a vision and a whole lot of shrewdness to unite India under the Mauryas or to give people an independent India.

I am tired of politicians being portrayed as ruthless gundas. Yes there are many who are but they need to be beaten at their own game before a new order can be ushered in. There also are many who do well in their own way.

The idealist in me wants somebody who draws from the ethics of the sarvodayi grassroots movement that built India but the pragmatist also wants someone who knows how to intelligently game the system. I want hope for an amazing coutry. What if, at the end, BBP realizes that he can be a powerful kingmaker like daddaji and makes Arti the political head? He can do more good that ways...

Someday I hope they will show how BBP came to be at the haveli during his childhood or maybe that will also be a krish-the-patang moment...who knows...
