my sentiments exactly!!! but what i don't understand is why roshni would be willing to sacrifice jai (i.e., let him die??) she wants bani out of the picture, but.....jai???

Most probably because she knows Jai. If he's in Love he's in love and would never look at another woman. So if he can't be Roshni's than he can't be Bani's either. Thats what I think anyway.
