hi guys... i made this slightly short as 14 is unlucky... yes 12,14 is unlucky and 13 is so lucky...😛 i was not going to update today, but i updated this chp pruely to dedicate it to indy 12 for their bday.

Chapter 14:My Mind My Hell

------------------------------FLASHBACK----------------------

He was running, running for the past 7 to 8 hours. Running from his prison as fast as his feet could take him.

The last 8 hours had not even registered in his mind.

His only task had been to put as much distance between him ad the castle.

It was now close to sun rise and the news about his escape would be spreading among the people.

He took a little rest to catch his breath, his hands taking support from his knees as he bent a bit to calm himself down.

He heard something that made his heart fall.

Trumpets were sounded. They were the alarms.

Sounds of horns in the distance. From the place he had come from.

But there was no fear inside him.

All his fear, his feelings had been killed because of last night.

The night he had lost everything he cared for. the night when everything was taken away from him.

But he would not loose. Afterall he had the will of his father to fulfill. He was a true Rajput.

He would not let his people suffer at the hands of the traitors.

He would go and warn the neighboring king who had been his dads best friend from their childhood and most importantly he was his father in law.

akash: bhai please get up what the hell happened? Why did you do all this? Bhai, please open your eyes and answer me.

arnav writhed as pain shot through hs body as he was brought back to consciousness by akash as akash had literally pored 3 litre of water on arnav to wake him up.

Akash had been scared when he had heard abhay was found unconscious on the roof. He had immediately taken deepika and payal back to the hostel where he had left them both and observed arnav walk out without answering to anything. He decided to stay at the hostel until he asks khushi as to what happened.

Payal had woken her up and khushi recited the events of the time she had spent on the roof, leaving out all the mixed reactions she was having about arnav.

Those feelings, she felt she would have to deal with on her own. That would be the only way to solve this mess.

Akash had now formulated his own theory and as he knew his brother best his theory was accurately correct.

He also knew that his brother would be hell bent on punishing himself.

So he immediately excused himself from the girls and literally ran home to see his brother.

And as he suspected, he found his brother unconscious with blood oozing out of his hands and arnav lost in his nightmares.

He slapped arnav in a way to bring him back into consciousness.

He was scared for his brother. This was worse than he had ever seen his brother in.

Arnav always took out his anger in the gym but today he had pushed all limits. The boxing bag had the blood imprints of Arnav's knuckles and akash seeing that had tears in his eyes.

Arnav always punished himself for any mistake he had or thought of doing.

And Arnav's sense of punishment was downright crude and cruel.

He would never apologise for his actions, but he would most definitely punish himself severely.

That would be his punishment. And he would listen to no one. His anger was his biggest weakness and his biggest power at times. It was a double edged sword.

Arnav was now stirring slowly.

Arnav's voice was shallow. Completely drained of power which his voice normally had.

Arnav: take me to my room. NOW.

Akash knew way better than to say something to arnav right now as arnav was in no condition then to have a civilized conversation.

Arnav felt akash's hand support him to get off the ground. By akash's help he managed to walk back to his room and as soon as he fell on the bed he slept and was lost to his torment again.

Akash tucked arnav in and left. He would have a talk the next day. Right now arnav needed rest or so he thought.

Arnav had fallen back to sleep.

-------------------------------FLASHBACK-------------------------

He was running on sheer determination. All of his strength had already left him. The only reason he was forcing to keep one foot after another was sheer will power.

His will power to be able to do what was necessary and what was right.

His feet were bleeding as he was bear foot. Noone provided comfort to prisoners, even though he was allowed his royal clothing, he was not allowed to wear anything but chains on his feet.

Thankfully he had outwit the guard and slain him to get the keys. But he was bear foot. And due to the treacherous terrain.

He ha bled. But that did not deter him. After all he was a Rajput and they never complained.

He was used to pain. His teacher who was his father, had taught him to beat pain and befriend it.

Now he heard something that would make his world collapse all over again.

That was the sound of horses. Horses galloping towards him as the sound kept increasing. There was only one escape. The cliff.

The cliff which had a 70 feet drop into the ocean. His chance of escape would be close to zero because of the force of water that lashed onto the cliff. But it was the only way. He would try and climb down. A place where no horse could follow.

He had reached the cliff edge and he stopped. He turned around. He would not die a coward.

It was not his warrior way.

He was better than this.

His father had taught him better than that.

He smiled for the first time that day. The effort taken for his muscles to make that smile was immense.

it wasnt a smile for his happiness or over confidence.

it was the smile of content. if he was to die, it would be this way.

If this was the end, he would make such an end to be worthy of rememberance.

He drew out his sword. His dad's sword which was his due to his death last night.

He was ready.

READY TO FIGHT TO THE DEATH.

Someone was shaking him.

Shaking him awake. Arnav opened his eyes with a start. His vision was blurry as white light flooded his eyes. He flinched and tried to concentrate.

After a few minutes, his eyes got accustomed to the brightness to see a worried akash and a worried deepika standing there. Right in front of him with looks of horror on their faces.

He sat up. Now the pain came crashing down on him. Both the events. Him beating up abhay and him punishing himself for it remembering khushi's tears.

Akash was the first to speak. With anger he tried to not show.

Akash: how are you bhai?

Arnav: I am fine.

Akash: don't lie bhai. I can see that you are in pain.

Arnav: enough. I am fine. I will be alright.

Akash quietened because of deepika's presence. He knew he could as those questions later.

Deepika went and hugged him and cried on his shoulder.

Arnav shook his head muttering something like "girls" and hugged her back.

Arnav: don't worry princess, I'll be fine.

Deepika withdrew her head from arnav and gave him a glare.

Deepika: don't you princess me bhai. I wont fall for it today.

Arnav gave a small smirk and pulled her in a hug. Deepika hugged him and pushed him back again.

Arnav's smirk widened into a smile.

Arnav: don't worry about me deepu. I am fine.

Deepika: are you really? You have been unconscious dot the past 30 hours...

Arnav: what???

Akash: yes bhai. We tried waking you yesterday. When you didnt we called the doctor.

Arnav: did he sedate me?

Akash: no bhai. I didn't allow it. I knew when you'd wake, you'd freak out.

Arnav: yes I don't need any drug in my system. Otherwise it'll be blown out of proportion in seconds and you know my rivals just need an excuse for making me not to compete.

Deepika: oh god, cant you both be sane humans for once? You were unconscious bhai and all you can do is talk about boxing? Pathetic. Now rest for the day.

Arnav: deepu I am fine. Lets go to college.

Deepika gives Arnav a glare and says,

Deepika: rest at home today. If you don't I'll tell Anjali di about everything and then you'll listen. Caz if you don't she'll come here.

Arnav: fine fine. No need to blackmail so much. Now atleast you go to college. I'll stay at home.

Deepika gave a final hug and went to Arjun.

Akash smiled and asked,

Akash: you are going to take care of business from home aren't you bhai?

Arnav smirked and replied,

Arnav: obviously. I agreed to stay home. Didn't say that I won't attend calls now did I?

Akash: bhai take care. I'll go otherwise we'll be late. And one more thing bhai.

Arnav: what?

Akash: I and Payal will be gone on a date.

Arnav: so?

Akash: deepika and Khushi will be coming over, as Khushi wants to talk to you apparently.

Arnav sighed. He wasn't going anywhere now was he. And by evening he knew he would definitely be up with answers to khushi's questions.

she shouldn't show him that he affects her and is important to her i love where the story is going

Thanks for the interesting flashbacks. Will be get the back story soon? From today's FB I am assuming he is a widower or at one point engaged. Sleepy when I read it let me know if I'm totally wrong.
