Taniks you analysed the situation really well. She can't leave as the evidence is showing her that Anita is hung up on Nilesh and not on Aham. I hope as you rightly pointed out Nilesh and Gopi to meet up for her to patch Anita and Nilesh's relationship.

Nafisa I was also pissed off with him at first but in his mind Gopi doesn't know the history of anita and him . He knows Gopi trust him to understand this was an accident . To justify is actions in that room to Gopi would seem like he was appeasing his wife as he was guilty . The situation was already on the edge of disaster for anita and he didn't want to escalate the problem , he knew at that moment those who trusted him will know the truth and he has complete faith in his wifes faith in him , in his mind and even Gopis mind their marriage was not at risk it was anitas life that hang in the balance as we saw both ahem and gopi were only focused on wot happened to anita. At the hospital by the tym they were alone Gopi had already showed him, her trust and faith in him and her support for him helping anita and assuring her family that they could trust her husband to take care of anita because she had unwaivering faith in him . He watched her assure his mom that everything will be ok and they could go to sleep .if now for the first tym they were alone he tried explaining to her wouldn't that be an insult to her trust and faith she has in him , he knows
She understood the situation so y will he now make her feel there is something to explain when she had already showed she didn't need did to believe in him . That is the best I can explain it nafisa as that's wot made me feel better abt him. This tym I have a feeling its not Ahems show its Gopi everything that will happen wud anita will becos of gopi in one way or another , she will be the one who is confidant abt how to handle it not.
