Avika Returns on TV as a Balika Vadhu

Just whats her age? I thought she must be 18...though she doesn't really look grown up in that serial, she looks like a kid.

I cannot believe the parents, the producers, the children welfare people, womens rights group are all allowing this on TV that airs nationally of having a 14-year-old romancing an adult actor. How can they?? HOw and why is it right or makes sense? I am repulsed by it and in fact have even stoppped watching or following the serial. It is just plain wrong and I wish somebody would make a loud noise about it till they replace her character with an adult actor and give avika characters that are her age and actually suit her. Doesnt this girl have to study!!! Wont she be giving her boards soon!!!!! What are the parents making of her!!!!!!! THIS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG!!!!!!!!

I didn't realize she was 14. I thought she was 18. If she is 14, it is highly wrong. Especially the romancing. She should be playing school girl roles... 😕

Avika is an actress..and she have to do things which she may have never done in her real lyf!! if a 40yr old actor can play the role of a college going student😆..then why can't an 14yr old actor play the role of an adult???😕..we learn painting, dancing etc and sometimes we do many things, which we have never done in our lyf, in that learning process..i know some of my frens who have done some masters in painting..they have done n*de painting at the age of 14-15..is there anything wrong in it? no bcoz it is an art!!!..and they have to do it!!..if u want to learn painting and want to be creative u have to do it!! like painting acting is also an art!!..so why can't she act of an adult gal when in real lyf she is not an adult???..this is just my POV..

and i absolutely agree with u that she should concentrate on her studies more!!..studies are the most important things in our lyf..

What I am saying is she is an actress, a child actress, she is 14 and till she does not turn 18 she is considered a minor. Even if she is acting, it is plain icks to be romancing even if for the camera with an adult male actor--It is so plain wrong on so many levels. There are no ifs and buts, you are talking about art--I am fine with 14 year old scientists and even doctors but would you be okay with a 14-year even if trained gyno or a 14-year-old painting nudes even if artistic--that is the kind of wrong I see with avika in this role, she just does not fit in at this point in time, if she does this same role in this same serial with the same character at 18, I have no issues with it, she is an adult and hopefully better set in her head by that time than now

It is about boundaries, there are some things a child, a teenager can and cannot do and should not be made to do.

By acting as a bahu at this early age, she herself is shortening her acting career-span.

She should play school or college goer's role, not so mature roles at this stage . Also sasural simar ka is a very gharelu saas-bahu story, and a character role impacts a lot on personal life. Given that she is just a 14 year old, such a role may have negative effect on her personal growth.

I would really wish Avika takes 2-3 years off, concentrates on studies and comes back when 16 or 17 to get better offers of her age.

Adult actors after working as bahus are trying to do something different so as not to get typecast and here she is already getting typecast at this tender age. people will eventually tire of her!!!!!

Guys let keep Avika's personal life out of this and keep her parents out as well, that is her personal life and should not be discussed on the forum
