Anandi still shed tears at the word Divorce. Part of this girl still clings to the past. Saw the pre cap.

Well at least she is agreeing to divorce Jagya. The tears are all the hurt and pain that she is letting go. If she doesn't shed tears she might go into depression. Anyways hope things get better for her. I know for sometime she is going to be tagged as a divorce and might face ridicule from villagers and gauri. Lets see what the CV's have in store for us.

Perhaps you don't understand the implication of the word divorce for a girl brought up in a conservative, rural environment. I have seen women from our village okay with their status as an abandoned wife or widow, but the concept of divorce itself is a huge mental block for them. Try getting a woman like that to sign on a divorce paper---good luck!

A good example is Kunda Tai---do you think she took a formal divorce with her husband? Nope. She has accepted that she is an abandoned wife and still wears her marriage symbols. There are plenty of women like that who still consider divorce as a taboo.

Also am sure, Anandi is also worried about what happens to her relationship with the Singh family after the divorce, as she was very particular that she wants to stay with them. Hope dadisa clarifies her stand about Anandi's future with the Singh family.

the way the precap has been represented -- anandi has no orientation/context for this sudden decision -- and all of a sudden dadisa says "here is divorce papers for mukti from jagadish"...

so what is she supposed to think? ... that dadisa has decided to accept jagdish and gauri and is kicking her out of the haveli 🤢

I had some high hopes when dadisa said to everyone "Let ME handle it"...I thought she would be persuasive, sweet and assure anandi about her future...and explain her decision.

But if this is what is called "handling" ... then I think she did a shabby job. It's like taking a two by four and going *BAM* on anandi's head without any warning.

tinoo I think we have to wait and see the episode to see how dadisa really worded it. I am sure she must have done a good job since Anandi does sign the papers and they are then sent to Jaggu.

However, my fears are somewhere else:
1. Why is Jaggu talli? Does it mean he will not let Anandi go so easily?
2. Why this emphasis on the 6 month period? Is there going to be any twists and turns in these 6 months?
3. Usually in cases of divorce, it is for the judge to decide whether the couple is irreconcilable or not. For that the couple needs to present the cause of their irreconcilability. What will Jag-Anandi say? Bhairon has very conveniently hidden the fact of Jagya's second marriage. But the judge will want to know all details. What if Jughead denies second marriage just to avoid arrest? Anandi will never send Jag to jail, then what will be the alternative ground for divorce? Hopefully mutual incompatibility. But for a divorce on the grounds of mutual difference, that the couple has to stay together for a reconciliatory period.

To sum up, my fear is, what if the divorce never happens??😲😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Its not easy to come out of a 16 year old relationship tht too 1st childhood love...now Anandi's not allowed to become emotional also.😕
She's not crying for jagya but for those broken dreams and expectations she had from her marriage...she is deeply hurt...nobody really enjoys getting divorced.
Tht hurt will always be there It'll get less with time but it'll never go away completely.

I mean, if a judge says "no your differences can definitely be reconciled"... does that mean that two people who dont want to stay together HAVE to remain together because a judge wont grant a divorce? are two people required to continue working out their differences if both of them want out and just feel it is ridiculous to continue trying to reconcile??

Yes Judge def has say in this many divorce cases are dragged for years due to this

usually the judge doesn't have a say in what two people want to do. But the judge definitely seeks concrete reasons why the couple wants to separate. Most importantly, in a divorce by mutual consent (there are other grounds on which the divorce can be sought) it depends on the discretion of the judge if the couple will have to stay together for a reconciliatory period. I am not sure what this rule is for couples already staying apart---I have to check.
But divorce by mutual consent is usually different from divorce on other grounds.

lol , on an aside. I was searching on the net for divorce by mutual consent and my husband just peeked onto my computer screen and asked me very fearfully---why are you researching on divorce? LOL🤣
