When you want to say the truth then there are conflicting thoughts were you start second guessing what others might think.

So if Ahem wants to inform Kokila he will think that maybe Koki will assume he is still not over Anitha and feel sad.. So agreeing to her suggestion seems to be the best option for him now..

It is like, "Ok I will go to the wedding and everyone will know that I am over Anitha"

A self assuring habit too.. Hope I made sense..

Even if Ahem had told Kokila and she had agreed for him to not attend the wedding, Rashi would still have played some other kalakaari to make Ahem go. The CV's are trying to spare us the torture of watching yet another crappy kalakaari. Say thanks to the CV's.

The thing is Ahem and Gopi needed to be there to show their suffering, Anita's dilemma since she is still in love with Ahem, for Rashi's pleasure and other kalakaaris, and finally, for Anita's wedding breakage.

Ahem is hesitant to share this awkardness with his mom.. and we know what Koki wd say..

Then where would we get all the drama ... Did you see the smile on Rashie face ... it really make her happy to see other unhappy ...

i go with harini. it is normal behavior. he is not sure about his feelings, afraid what his mom might say.
i remember when i was school i got a love letter from a boy. i m someone who used to share every thing with my mom. but this was hesitant afraid she might blast me instead of that fellow.
finally i used my brain and escaped.
same with aham. he is not sure what will happen if his mom or gopi come to know about anita
