The week of Beauty and the Beast!!!

Since I was away on work this whole week, I could not post day to day key pull outs of each episode…. Now that I am back in action, I shall dedicate tonight's write up on the entire week that started from 'Beauty and the Beast' and ended at ASR stumping out Khushi his true ASR style…. Pinch yourselves to stay awake!!!!

Inspite of everyone losing patience with Khushi, I felt it was a divine 'shyam less' (read that shameless) week!!! And that in itself should redeem the creative team wink wink ;-)

For those who felt that the script spot jogged, let me highlight the positive aspects in ASR-Khushi's relationship in the week gone by:

1): Khushi telling kids our very own favorite story of the 'Beauty and the Beast' …. Unknowingly, she makes the supposed beast ASR realize how he is similar to a caring Prince Charming one minute and a ruthless Beast another minute…. ASR's mind immediately races back to the 'Heer Ranjha's' passionate and an almost confession moment to the moment when he is livid and yells at Khushi by the staircase throwing the jewellery given to her by naani… Seems to me, like he realized what Khushi meant when she said that she could not understand how the Prince and the Beast could be the same person –empathy in her apparent confusion…

2): Even though she is extremely hurt after what ASR said about her making his life hell inside the room, there is a side of her which has always put his comfort in front of her – whether its telling her new friend, lakshmi to stay out of the room while ASR is fast asleep or tip toeing into the room without making any noise so as to not disturb him – we constantly keep seeing such beautiful moments of caring gestures….

3): We all saw last week, how much ASR missed Khushi in flat ONE day!!! But what we realized at the beginning of this week is how ASR sleeps peacefully only after he has seen Khushi fast asleep with his own eyes – knowing that she is safe and sound…. And with that safe knowledge, fell deep into sleep like an innocent child himself…. And not only him, even Khushi likes to fall asleep only after she has seen ASR sound asleep…. Yet again, the magic of their relationship!!!

4): We all including Khushi got a sneak peek into ASR's childhood days…. One thing's clear that ASR was always non vocal about his feelings and totally anti display of affections right from the beginning…. His parent's death only hardened him further…. But he always had a tough exterior…… Something which Khushi ofcourse, decided to use as a weapon against our delicious man!!! Her child like brain instead of using this vital information to understand her man a bit more, jumped into formulating her own plan on how to irk ASR further throw an open display of love!!!! Typical Khushi – Act first, Think later!!!

Sometimes I feel, that Khushi's OTT behavior at times to annoy ASR (and viewers too!!!) is basically to redeem ASR for marrying her the way he did!!! There is definitely going to be a time when Khushi too regrets her brash behavior towards her 'swaami', for misunderstanding him so man times, for saying so many bitter things to him, for making digs at his diabetic state, for being callous enough to finish all the food when she knew that 'swaami' would be returning home very late without eating any dinner…….Why should only ASR regret alone???!!! There needs to a repentance track for Khushi too for subjecting ASR to sheer torture and him bearing her presence through out!!!

5): I have always maintained that even though Khushi may love ASR, she still doesn't realize the intensity of her feelings…. She thinks that by driving ASR insane, she can get out of his life in less than 6 months without a backward glance….And can easily forget him once he is out of her life…. And this is where she is so totally wrong….. I have been waiting for a moment when she comes face to face with her true feelings about ASR – For her to realize that the man she wants to run away from is the very man who she cannot live without…..I was waiting for ASR to fall ill or get hurt for Khushi to nurse him (the way he did when they were in nainital) and at the same time realize his relevance in her life…..

And yes, it made her guilty as hell… She certainly felt the pressure….She could not get her self to sleep through the night…. She ensured that she slept by his side where she could see him all the time….. His every movement brought her up awake if she even shut her eyes by mistake……She lovingly covered him up with the blanket, turned him straight and even oiled his hair (as we discovered later!!!)….. But did she realize that she cannot live without ASR??? Nooo, not yet…. We will have to wait longer for that magic moment of truth!!!

Also, what I loved about ASR was that no matter how much he resisted khushi (four times to be precise – a): when he wanted to sleep on the recliner; b): when she is covering him with the blanket; c): when he chokes over the water and she rubs his back and d): when after drinking water she is puts him back on the pillows and covers him up again folding his hands with such tenderness over the blanket) – each time he ended giving up!!! Her caring nature over ruled his constant need to take care of himself and not be fussed upon by others……Which implies that maybe in the future, if and when Khushi persists with all her love, he will finally give in – with reluctance at first but with much joy later!!!

6): Tonight's mind boggling episode…. Wherein for a minute even ASR managed to trick me into believing that he was play acting that entire 'fainting' episode to make Khushi squirm and get even with her for showering extra love and display of affections the whole day….. That pool side scene was a show stealer tonight….. With ASR's composed, calm expressions contrasting with a totally stumped Khushi about to drop her tray of biscuits….. 'Surprised huh?' asks our delicious man while stabilizing the tray…. Leaving Khushi speechless!!! Wonder if this is how he will handle her when she is all surprised or should I say shocked on realizing the real reason behind his marriage to her…..Wonder if he will hold her together then!!

That entire conversation between ASR and Khushi was a delight to watch… Right from the moment when he tells her 'Wont you call me Swaami?' to 'how does it feel being guilty without committing a mistake' to the clincher 'Since how long have you known me?? Never mind how much you know someone, because sometimes it is still very difficult to recognize the true person…' to the final blow that shatters Khushi 'Last night I was just acting…I did not miss my medicine, nor was I hungry and top it all I did not even faint!!!!' Khushi couldn't believe her ears….Nor could I!!!

Thankfully, I forgave Anji for eaves dropping tonight!!! Her second favorite habit after interrupting vital interactions!! She made us all realize who true ASR is (will someone help Khushi here too!!!!)….. And not only us, she showed ASR the mirror too….. Unknowingly, ASR placed Khushi on the same pedestal that he has only reserved for his sister in the past…. And Anji made him realize that by linking the past episode of the broken photo frame from their childhood….. Our delicious man finally saw the mirror in a big way tonight!!!! Is that what he really did?? Tried to make Khushi guilt free so that she could sleep soundly at nights and not worry herself silly over his health??!?!!! Yes, Mr. ASR…that's exactly what you did!! And then you think you hate that little slip of a girl…hmmmfff….W*F!!!

7): Now Anji needs to help Khushi connect the same dots!!! ROFL!!! We can else see Khushi back with a vengeance next week!! And there is no stopping this hurricane now!!!! She is up to no good… And by the looks of it neither is ugly Shyam!!! The Shyam-less week may well turn out to be Shyam overdose next week!!! But no complaints – the dude only helps ASR and Khushi come closer!!!

8): And how can I forget the adorable 'Rabba Vey' moment when Khushi applies tikka on ASR's forehead!!! Awww….my heart raced and how!!!! Especially, when ASR calls out to Khushi in his deep husky voice – his emotions almost out of control!!

Well, he was not the only one…Khushi too had her moment of weakness, when she lovingly lifted his hair off his forehead only to instantly realize her folly and ruffle them back again!!!!!

All in all an action packed week with their relationship inching forward in an understated true IPK manner!! Cheers to an even sexier week ahead!!!
