Today was a wonderful episode with just the right touches of comedy, pathos and romance and all of them were woven so seamlessly into each other that it became one long and beautiful thread of scenes and thoughts. Each episode is so flawlessly scripted and directed that the actors have nothing to do but deliver and my do they ever!
I also like that the precap scene usually happens at the very beginning of the episode so that we are left in suspense as to the rest. This is a very good strategy as knowing what happens is a big turn off for many viewers who will just choose to change the channel. Here we are done with the suspense from the previous episode in the first few minutes and left to enjoy the rest as a complete surprise!
We analysed that precap to death only to realise that it was just the beginning of all the wonderful things that were to come in today's episode. But not only is Yash shocked by this sudden contact with Aarti, she herself seemed equally shocked that she had so impulsively grabbed his hand. That ownership that we saw in yesterday's episode when she vowed to tell Mansi what was what sort of overflowed into this scene where she felt that protectiveness over Yash.
And then the great PraDhi bed-break! 🤣
I found it slightly creepy that Vidhi did these things on the SR of her devars but it is part of tradition and the Scindias never go back on tradition! Prateek was hilarious when he was beat at his own game and I love how Aarti and Yash shared this joke with each other. In some ways it is interesting to see the benefits of being in a joint family because even though Aarti doesn't really know Yash, she knows him now better than anybody else and so feels a sort of kinship with him. And when such fun things are happening it is hard not to be involved.
I think the AarYa - PraDhi moment was the highlight of the episode for me. I loved the camaraderie they shared and most of all the fact that Paridhi made Aarti laugh. I think I am going to love this bhabhi-devraani jodi. 😳 And that scene with Prateek and Paridhi that followed was hilarious, where she made that cheeky remark and the two of them got right back to it! 😃 I love this show for that. They didn't show anything explicitly but the attitude was so progressive and fresh!
And then a close second for favourite part would definitely go to the scene where Aarti and Yash have similar thoughts about their own bed and they both start looking for the faults there. I loved the fact that they were working as a team and it was so adorable they way they were searching. And finally when they sit down and the papad cracks, that mutual smile that sort of lingered for both of them was very telling, especially with regards to the flashbacks that haunted them soon after.
The scene with Prashant and Aarti made me incredibly angry because I loved that seductive Aarti and hated Prashant for being able to resist that. I mean, I was kind of drooling onto my screen when she was giving him those sizzling, suggestive looks? How on earth could be pull that stunt on her when she was so beautiful and alluring? It makes me think that Prashant was just not man enough to handle Aarti's libido. Plain and simple. He was intimidated by her intensity at every turn and still is to this date. And finally the fact that the last word that left her mouth was dhokebaaz, because he had promised her love and taken it away suddenly and without warning. There is nothing more demeaning to a woman than turning her down when she puts herself out there like that so it is no wonder Aarti has the self esteem she does. 😭 Oh well, she has found much better now and one day I think Yash will be the RIGHT person on which to channel all her charms. 😉 I cannot wait for that day!
I think it was interesting that she had a sexy flashback with Prashant just after seeing Yash grab the towel...I will leave you to do the math. What was the connection there? hm? But also she remembered being cheated for having had these desires so perhaps she is further motivated to kill them now.
Yash comes out, stares at the sleeping Aarti and snaps himself out of the trance (Don't worry Yash, it wasn't just you. I couldn't take my eyes off her either). It is then that he realises something and we are told just what by the flashback that ensues. Arpita is back in colour... I will leave it to others to decipher that because I can't really think what it means. Anyway, this scene made me rethink Arpita yet again. This was such a fun scene and as a couple they had so much fun together. I loved how sprightly Yash was in the fb as compared to his sedate and stately self now. But while Yash was able to move Arpita, he could not bring himself to wake Aarti up and tell her to move. Has Yash changed or is it just because he isn't as comfortable with Aarti yet? Also he pushed Arpita to her side and then called her back on his terms. On the other hand, Aarti stakes her claim herself to what is Yash's and he does not object, for the time being at least.
But what I found most interesting about this whole exchange, was the fact that once again, Aarti didn't take Arpita's place. She took Yash's subconsciously. I think this shows again how she will eventually have no relationship with Arpita no matter how much the family force it on her. Her relationship will be with Yash alone and he will have to make some adjustments to accommodate that. But again it was stressed that they have to communicate if the relationship is to work.
OMG! That last freeze of GC's face made my weekend! I am going to be staring at that for hours on end! 🤣
