Shocked was the word that couldn't describe his feeling at that time …. He remembered what geet had asked him while He continued to drive his car as they headed towards delhi … instead of the ghagra he had given her a long skirt and a top and a duppata … she had tied her hairs in a loose pony that was dragged forward to cover her one shoulder…. Her face devoid of any make up was even more angelic …. He saw that geet was rubbing her hands and he turned off the AC and opened the windows of his car… the air brought with it her devine smell …..

kya aap mujhe phir se kisiko beech denge ….. she had asked it …. How could she even think of it ???? he had a weried feeling the moment hehad seen her in that room but as his eyes saw what she was wearing it turned into anger…. Some how controlling the urge to kill the bengoli middle man he walked out and tried to control his anger once he was inside the car.. so without even thinking once he took the white lehenga that he had bought for his latest model for a fashion show had given it to her ….. and again in the farm house when he had nothing to do with this girl he had given her again a change of dress so that she might feel comfortable ..

by now he was toally aware that she didnt talk much as she had not even did look at him except twice …. Although she didn't talk much .. it was not needed because for some unkown reasons he could understand what was going on in her mind and the inner turmoil she was going through … because of her eyes….. yes her eyes said what she was unable to say … they revealed the inner turmoil , the unasked questions…. Even if for the small amount of time he had looked into her eyes but every time he could feel himself drowning in her eyes …..

as he was going he saw that it was almost lunch time and he stopped near a dhaba …. When he looked at geet she was looking at him with her big eyes questioning him ….. he felt the sudden need to explain her and say her the truth … he turned towards her and said in a soothing tone

I am maan singh khurana … CO MD of khurana group of industries … grandson of savitri devi …. Every year we save atleast 6 girls from this mandio legally and try to give them a live they deserve … and then after bringing them from these mandi we sent then to our mercy homes far away from these places where their past can ruin their future … and geet you are just one of those girls …. We are now going to delhi … where you will stay with us till we find one suitable place and identity for you …..and now before going we will have lunch if you agree….

He was looking intently at her expressions from the time he had started saying… her expressions changed from fear to apprehension and to releaf and then a little trust … his heart rejoiced looking at the trust and he didn't knew why… she just nodded a little bit … smiling maan came out of his seat and by the time he was near her she had opened the door and was coming out …. As she stepped out she couldn't maintain her balance due to the severe pain she felt in her right leg and stumbeled but before he could fall maan came forward and held her and she fell on his arms …. But the pain was so much that she clutched his arms tightly and tears began forming on her eyes as her head rested on his shoulder ….

Maan – kya hua ????

She didn't reply … he knew she wouldn't … he opened the passenger seat and made her comfortable there and looked down to see her holding her right leg … the leg where she was limping …. He gently held her hand and held the edge of her skirt … he looked once to her as if seeking permission from her …. She had her eyes closed … as he lifted up the skirt to examin her leg … he felt a hold on his hands … and looked up to see geet looking at him with wide eyes fear evident in them ….

I need to see your wound geet …. Trust me ….

As he said these he felt her hold loosning a bit and he looked down to lift up her skirt and what he saw shocked him to bits …. Her leg was all well but there was a mound … he had doubted the worst and when he touched it a painful wimper left her lips and he was sure that these mound was nothing but her broken bone that had come out trying to break her skin ….

How did this happen ????? he asked

Geet – accident … I had an accident before I found myself in …..

she stopped abruptly midway and maan understood what she wanted to say …

they didn't give you medicines ???? he asked as he felt anger rising in him … geet just nodded her head indicating a no …. He clenched his fist in anger but his anger vanished when he felt her hold on his shoulder and looked at her to see her eyes closed probably due to pain …. He got up and covered her legs and gave her water to drink…. She quietly drank it … and with difficulty got up to stand …. She was limping and walked slowly and maan kept pace with her walking slowly with her … they entered the dhaba and sat in two cots put there…

while having their lunch quietly he saw that she was very reserved and went through all his activities since last night and none of those activities were his …. Then what had happened to him in these few hours or preciously what happened after he saw her ???? seriouslt time for dadima's councelling!!!

It was almost mid night when their car entered the khurana mansion … and maan got out of his car he saw that geet had slept and she looked very peacefull …. He didn't want to wake her up and so he took her up in his arms and entered the mansion… the mansin was totally dark and as he was about to walk up the stairs he heard a sound that he could never ignore in his life time ….

Maan bte… rukiye

He stopped in his tracks as his dadi came out from the dark towards him and looked at the girl in his arms who had her arms around him and her head on his chest …

Geet ???? she asked and maan just nodded his head ….

Ise kamre main le jaea .. aur hamare kamre amin aayiye ….

Ji dadi…he responded as he took her to the guest room opposite to his room and gently setteled her in the bed… covering her with duvet he came down to talk with his dadi ….

Maan… humne aapko jis kaam ke liye bheeja tha whoh ho gaya????

Maan – ji dadi… main eek aur ladki transport kar diya hai… unke taraf se kal tak jawab aa jaega ….

Dadi – geet ke liye kya soocha hai ???

Maan - hum use hamare pass nahin rakh sakte dadi????

Dadi saw him for a minute and hen said – theek hai maan rakhiye …. But find a new identity for her …. And a new name ….

Maan – misthi … mishthi khurana … I have thought this name for her… aur uske future main hum usi se pooch kar descision lenge …..

Dadi – very good…. How is she ????

Maan – doesn't talks much dadi …

The morning rays disturbed her sleep but the thing that made her think it was a dream was the soft caress that she felt in her head … she smiled a little and unknowingly she called her mom …. But as soon as she said it she remembered what had happened and sat with a jolt .. looking at the owner of the hand she saw a woman in her mid 50's sitting near her and smiling sweetly ….

I am savitri devi .. maan's dadi … you can also call me dadi…. good morning bte …. She said as she smiled ….

Good morning dadi … geet couldn't help but smile at the warmt and unkown to her before she could stop herself she went forward to hug her… dadi smiled to herself …. But soon she regained herself and sat back… whoh dadi sorry …. Whoh… mujhe maa ki yaad aa gayi ….

Savitri devi smiled and caressed her face…..

Koi baat nahin bte… aaj se aapko sab misthi ke naam se bulaenge…. Toh misthi bte chaliye ready ho jaea .. hum breakfast ke baad hum shopping jaenge …. Thik hai ????

Geet just nodded her head in aggrement….

Doctor - Mrs.khurana …. Yeh aapki kya lagti hai ????

Dadi – yeh meri dost ki poti hai .. misthi khurana …. Kuch serious hai?

Doctor – ji mrs.khurana …. Misthi ka accident kariban one month pehle hua tha .. but due to lack of any treatment bohat kuch bigad gaya hai … I advice a full body scanning to done of her so that we can know what has happened to her .. but one thing I am sure that her eye sight is effected and also she wont be able to walk properly ever in her life….

Dadi – yeh kya keh rahein hain doctor???? She wont be able to walk??? But doctors medical science has grown and you are saying this ???? kuch toh hoga ????

Doctor – no mrs.khurana …. We cant do anything …..

What do you mean you cant do anything doctor ???? suddenly maan entered with a bang and shouted at the doctor …

Doc – one of her bone has entered between her two long bones in her leg that has led to their disfiguring and an abnormal shape and multiple fracture so she wont be able to walk properly ever … but we can take that bone out and she will get revealed from the pain… and please do the opereation and the total scanning as soon as possible so that we can protect hre from further problems …

Maan – and her walking problems???

Doctor – either she has to walk on her own like she is now but it might be difficult for her … or else she will have to take help of a crutches ……

Maan – what the hell are you saying doctor ??? she will walk with crutches ????mecial science has no remedy for it ????

He shouted and held his colar….

Doctor – I am not responsible mr.khurana if she is brought so late… pray to god that in he r scanning no such serious reports come out that may show internal injury ….

Maan – fine doctor… when can we bring her for the surgery ????

Doctor – first of all please do a body scanninag and her eye sight testing… based on the report I will give you a time…..

Maan – fine doctor …..

The next day geet was taken for a full body scanning … and eye sight cheaking…. While her eye sight was found to be there … her body scanning reports were something that had shocked and angered maan to the bits … for she could never be normal again …..
