Part 22 - The truth and Dare Game

Khushi: ME ME ME, I WILL START

She sounded extremely excited, it was the hormones kicking in. Everyone laughed at how childlish she behaved. She behaved childish normally too, but this was extra childish. But everyone found it cute, not annoying, because she always made everyone smile.

Aakash hands over the bottle to Khushi: Fine Khushiji, spin

Khushi spins. It stops at Payal.

Khushi screams: JIJI!!!

Payal feels shy: So, what do I have to do?

Khushi: hmmm, truth or dare? First tell me this.

Payal: truth

Khushi: coward! And blows a raspberry to Payal's face

Payal: shut up! And makes a face.

Khushi: fine, tell me, whether you prefer being called maasee or chachi? Khushi looks at Arnav and gestures him to pay attention.

Payal: this is a wrong question, khushi. I am going to be both, so how can I choose one?

Khushi: no, you must answer.

Alisha gestures payal to just answer something.

Payal: fine, I prefer being called maachee..see the baby is going to be totla (whats the english word for this, cant remember) anyway, like you were when u were small, so maachee is perfect, it combines maasee and chachi...Payal blows a raspberry to khushi

Khushi laughs: Hahaa, I love it diii...

Payal spins the bottle, and it ends up on Alisha.

Payal: masiji, truth or dare?

Alisha: Dare

Payal: Masiji do something that we cant do.

Alisha gets up and holds Aakash and Arnav's ears, and then kiss them both on the cheek.

Alisha: there you go, you can't do that...atleast not in public. And winks at Khushi and Payal.

Payal feels shy, whereas Khushi smiles at Arnav.

Alisha spins the bottle and it ends up on Arnav.

Alisha: Truth or dare, beta?

Arnav: Ofcourse Dare.

Alisha: Wow, such confidence. Fine. Erm..Why don't you make Khushi a sandwich she will like?

Arnav: WHAT THE? I have never made a sandwich for myself..and...

Alisha intrrupts: nuh-uh, you DARED! Do it, or give in to the punishment.

Arnav: fine. And looks at Khushi.

Khushi: make it good otherwise I wont lie to save you. She winks

Arnav picks up the bread, puts some lettuce in followed by slices of cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, some little achaar dices, and then spicy ketchup to finish off. He hands it to Khushi.

Arnav: here you go, you better like it, darling and gives a forced smile.

Khushi takes it from him and takes a bite and makes a blank face.

Everyone gets shocked by seeing her blank face.

Arnav suddenly gets up goes near her, and takes the sandwich away from her, and puts it down. Then he cups her face.

Arnav: are you okay, Khushi? I am so sorry, I must have put something wrong in that sandwich.

Khushi still blank face, quickly hugs her and kisses him on the cheek infront of everyone, which makes Payash shy.

Alisha: are you okay khushi bitiya?

Khushi: maseejee, that was the best sandwich I have ever tasted. It was so good I was still rejoicing the taste. Oh god, arnavji, if you told me you can make that sandwich before marriage, I would have married you straight away. No need for that compulsion etc.

Arnav laughs it off remembering all the sad moments, and then the present happy lives. Alisha knew about everything by now. Arnav had told her everything.

Alisha: by the way, I have to say, you are quite a brave girl, khushi.

Khushi: thanks masseee, and by the way my husband passes the test. She gives a smile to Arnav and resumes eating the sandwich while Arnav spins the bottle which ends up on Khushi.

Khushi screams: YAYYY

Arnav: calm down, khushi. Its not good to scream

Alisha: its okay, arnav. Its good to scream in this condition to some extent because it shows happiness and excitement and keeps the baby happy and healthy.

Khushi makes a face to arnav.

Arnav: fine, truth or dare?

Khushi: ofcourse, dare. Biwi kiski hun, mr. governor? And takes out her tongue showing off to Arnav.

Arnav: oh okay, then, how about you try and stay quiet for exactly 10 minutes?

Khushi: oh that's easy, I can do that.

Seeing everyone talk and laugh amongst themselves, Khushi speaks out something.

Arnav: ha! There you go! You spoke! You get punishment now

Khushi: ill take it, its better than staying quiet.

Arnav whispers something in her ear.

Khushi whispers back: I'll do it, mr. governor.

Arnav thinks: thank god to her hormones.

Khushi goes in a side, makes a call, then hangs up.

Alisha: what was your punishment?

Khushi: I had to call ...

Arnav: bas bas, Khushi. No one needs to know ..

Khushi feels shy and sits down.

She spins the bottle that ends up on Akshay: Yay, finally me, he says.

Khushi: so jeejaji and devarji, truth or dare?

Akash: Bhabhiji. Now I will call you bhabhiji, khushiji.

Khushi: haye, yay, thanks for the new name, devarji.

Akshay: Truth, bhabhiji.

Khushi: by the way, god has made couples in heaven. This is so true. Me and arnavji chose dare coz we are so wild, and you and didi, oh no devraani ji chose truth coz u guys are so quiet and decent...aww...okay finally...your question is... what was the best part of your honeymoon?

Everyones eyes widen. Arnav squeezes Khushis hand, and Payal feels shy and Akash lowers his head and Alisha laughs in the end making it all light.

Alisha: khushi bitiya, erm, next question, please.

Khushi: okay fine, devarji, what do you remember most vividly from your childhood connected with your bhai?

Akash looks at Arnav: the loneliness. Bhai was never into playing games etc like other kids. He was always into studying. He always liked staying alone, reading books, or gardening. I used to copy him too sometimes, but mom used to get angry saying I need to play with other kids. Once bhai heard this, and he came to me and said, akash you must play with others. I will spend some time with you after you play with them. I asked bhai doesn't he feel bad that he doesn't come to play, and bhai used to always say, no akash, you see one day, I will be the one people will want to be with, and people will want to deal with. I will not need anyone to play with. I will be the one controlling everyone and making everyone play according to me. Bhai wanted to be very successful in life, and now that he has become successful, I remember that he isn't as manipulative and controlling he said he would like to be. He is a very nice man, and I love that some of his qualities are in me.

Arnav gets emotional, goes and hugs akash. Akash hugs back remembering the moments.

Alish puts her hand on both their heads. Then, they all have the sandwiches left, not eaten by Khushi, and head home after a nice peaceful evening Khushi had requested.
