Now usually on Sundays I'm at work running around checking on patients and taking blood samples since I'm a doctor at Sanjeevani but today since it's a statutory holiday I get the day off and so after thinking for a good hour about what to do I decided to dig up my old video camera and video tape everything that I do, you know like a documentary! Sorry got to go my mom is screaming! Wait.. I'll take you guys with me come on might as well start my day now! I picked up the camera off the table and made my way out of my room. I ran down the stairs and went straight to the dining table to have breakfast. I placed the camera down on the table making sure that it was still recording and then started to eat.
"What took you so long beta?"
"Oh I was recording myself!"
"You where WHAT!"
"Yeah I was recording myself and right now you're being recorded to dad."
Meet my dad Shashank Gupta or better known in the medical field as Dr.Shashank Gupta Head of Sanjeevani Medical Hospital. He's 53 years old and is still as young as ever. He loves to play tennis and watch cricket but his most favourite thing to do is talk Medicine! Growing up in the Gupta household was nothing short of a hospital. Dad would make me and di sit with him on the weekends and make us read medical books and would then test us to see if we were paying attention and if we weren't which we didn't do most of the time he would make us read a whole extra chapter and then re-test us. I know he sound's really boring and strict but he's really not and you will find out right now and see how fun he can be watch..
"Yeah dad you're on camera right now! Say something!"
"What do you want me to say…umm.. Hello! I'm riddhima's dad and I just want all of you to go and get healthy!"
"Excellent! Good job dad!"
"Thank you beta! I hope I looked good!"
"Oh dad you look amazing!"
See what did I tell you! My dad is one of a kind! Okay now that I'm done my breakfast let us continue our adventure. Next stop my mom!
Getting up from the table I said bye to my dad picked up the camera in one hand and my plate in the other and walked into the kitchen to find my mom standing in front of the stove like every morning making breakfast. I put down my plate slowly into the sink and then held on to the camera with both hands and started taping my mom.
"Mom! Turn around and say Hi!"
She turned around and stared at me in shock not expecting me to be holding a camera in her face first thing in the morning.
"Riddhima what are you doing with a camera? And why is it in my face?"
Meet my mom. Padma Gupta or should I say ex-nurse Padma Gupta. Yeah as you can see both my parents worked in the medical field. My dad is still a doctor but my mom retired early after she got pregnant with my sister. She felt that it was better to stay home with us rather then to go out and work and leave us with a babysitter.
"Mom I'm making a documentary about my life and since you are my mom you have to be in it I already got dad and now it's your turn, so say something!"
"Beta this is not nice… what do you want me to say?"
"Say anything!"
"Okay.. um.. Hi.. there I said something now will you please leave! I have to finish making breakfast before it burns! And go wake up you're sister!"
"Okay!"
I quickly thanked my mom and after kissing her on the cheek I ran out of the kitchen and made my way up the stairs to wake up my di.
I got to the top of the stairs and walked up to my di's room. I was about to knock on the door when I heard noises coming from the other side of the door. Now one thing that you should all know about me is that I'm a very curious person and once something interests me enough I have to know everything! And right now was no different; I had to know what was going on!
I slowly opened the door trying not to make a sound and catch my di's attention and looked in making sure my camera caught everything to see my di on the phone pacing back and forth and blushing every now and then, I wanted to laugh out loud but before I could she started talking again….
"No I miss you more!"
"Okay! That's perfect! I'll see you soon! I love you! Bye!"
I stood at the door trying to control my laughter as much as I could but failed as I couldn't take it anymore and fell to the floor opening the door in the process and rolled around on the carpet laughing.
"Ridzi!!"
Hearing my name I stopped laughing and stood up fixing myself and stood with my head down in front of di trying to hide my smile at the same time.
"What are you doing spying on me!"
Meet Di or should I say Anjali Gupta no wait! Dr.Anjali Gupta sorry soon to be Mrs. Anjali Joshi!. Yup you guessed it my Di is also a doctor and is getting married soon to Atul Joshi who is a friend and fellow doctor at the hospital.
Di is 2 years older then me and is the first born of this house. Me and Di were never that close when we were younger as we hated each other but as we grew up we became closer then ever and now we tell each other everything. Di was the first one to tell me that she liked Atul and wanted to marry him. I wasn't that surprised at all as I had caught them a few times staring at each other during lunch breaks. The only problem that we had was Dad! But with a lot of convincing he agreed to get them married and I couldn't be happier after all Atul was a great guy and loved Di a lot. Hope fully you guys will get to meet Atul today and you can all see how great he is but for right now I need to answer Di before she kills me!
"I was not spying on you Di! I was only coming to call you down it's not my fault that you were on the phone talking to JEEJU!"
Bulls Eye! Awww my Di is blushing!! I love this!! I can't wait to tell Muski about this!! What? Oh I forgot to tell you about Muski! Don't worry I'll tell you who Muski is later!
"That's still no excuse to spy on me! I don't do that when you're talking to ARMAAN!"
Uh Oh! Blush Alert! Di! I'm so going to get you!! Oh don't look at me like that people! I'll tell you after I promise!
"Okay Okay I'm sorry! But Mom is calling you down for breakfast!"
"Okay! I'm coming!"
"Good.. I'm going now! And by the way Di… You're being recorded right now!"
I stuck out my tongue at her and ran out of the room saving myself from Di who was about to hit me with a pillow! I ran back into my room and decided on what to do next.
Hmm.. who should I tape next! What? I can't hear you guys! Muski! Hmm.. Muski.. Ahh I like it! Okay you guys wait hear while I go change and then we are off to see Muski!!
I walked out of the bathroom all changed and grabbing the camera, my purse and phone I walked out of my room. Okay guys here goes! Ready! Let's Go!
I ran down the stairs and after letting my parents know I walked out of the door and to my car and sped off to see my best friend Muski! I drove up to her house and after parking the car I got out and went to ring her door bell. I waited for a few seconds until Muski's mom came and opened the door.
"Hi Sia Auntie!"
"Hi beta Muski is upstairs!"
"Thanks Auntie!"
I walked into the house and ran straight up the stairs to Muski's room. I walked into her room and found her sitting on her bed on the phone arguing with someone very adamantly!
"Listen you! how many times have I told you that I have a boyfriend and that I don't want to see you ever again! You call me one more time and I will call the police!!"
This is Muskaan Chadda or Muski as I like to call her. She's my best friend and is a doctor too. I know I'm aware I know too many doctors! She's 25 years old like me and is a very bubbly person. There are 6 things you should know about her: 1.) She LOVES to talk. 2.) She can beat anyone in an argument! 3.) She has a very bad temper! 4.) She's a very caring person and will do anything for you. 5.) I'm her best friend. 6.) And this is the most important one and if I don't mention it she will kill me… She is IN LOVE with Rahul Gerwal and can't wait to marry him.
"Umm.. Muski?"
"Oh hey Ridzi sorry about that! It was my old boyfriend Raj! He won't leave me alone! I have told the idiot so many times that I don't like him anymore but he just won't stop! Anyways what's up? I was just about to call you to come over and… why do you have a camera in your hands?"
"I'm making a documentary about my life, so far I got dad,mom, and di. Now I'm moving on to my friends and I'm staring with you!"
"That's soo cool!"
" I know! Okay now say something!"
"Umm.. okay.. oh I know… Hi I'm Muskaan and I love Rahul!.. how was that??"
"Perfect!"
I paused the camera after recording for a few more minutes and then sat down beside Muski and caught up with her. I told her about how I had caught Di in the morning talking to Atul and she laughed so hard that her non stop laugh filled the room. That's another thing about Muski her laugh is one of a kind no one else in the world has her laugh.
"Hey Ridzi what time is it??"
"It's 2:00pm why?"
"Oh Crap! I have to meet Rahul at his apartment in an hour he needs my help with a case and I told him that I would come over."
"Oh okay then why don't you get ready and I'll take off now and see you later!"
"No! I need a ride to his apartment why don't you come with me! You can record Rahul too at the same time oh and… he did say something about YOU'RE BOYRFIREND being there too!"
"Okay I'll give you ride and…WHAT did you say!"
"What? You're BOYFRIEND!"
"MUSKI!! Go get ready or I'm going!"
"Okay… Okay! I'm going!"
Blush Alert #2! This is so wrong! He's not even in front of me and I'm going red like a tomato! What! I said I'll tell you guys LATER!! Jeez have some patience!
Muski ran into the bathroom to get changed while I waited in her room for her. 10 minutes later she was done and we were out the door driving to Rahul's apartment.
We drove for about 20 minutes talking throughout about everything from work to the latest movies. Muski even teased me about Armaan and I teased her back about Rahul. That was the kind of friendship that me and Muski had we could tell each other everything and not think twice about it. We reached Rahul's apartment as he had moved out of his parent's house and wanted to live on his own. I parked the car and me and Muski made our way into the building. We walked out of the elevator and after making sure that we both looked good Muski rang the door bell. We waited for a few seconds until the door was finally opened and there stood in front of us was Rahul.
"Hey Baby.. Hey Ridzi I wasn't expecting you here?"
" Hey Rahul I wasn't going to come but Muski needed a ride so I give her a lift over."
"That was sweet Ridzi thanks. Come on in make yourself at home.. and why are you holding a video camera??"
"I'm making a documentary about my life."
"Oh that's cool! Are you recording right now?"
"Yeah.. say something!"
"Hi!! I'm Rahul!! nice to meet you all!"
"Thank you!"
"Now that that's done could you please do me a favour?"
"Yeah sure!"
"Can you please go and wake up Armaan he's taking a nap in the guest room and he asked me to wake him up when Muski got here I just tried to wake him up but it wasn't working but now that you're here could you please?"
"Umm… yeah sure I can! I'll be right back."
"Thanks!"
That was Rahul Gerwal. Another doctor and a really amazing guy. He's 26 years old and loves Muski to no end. At the start He and Muski used to fight all the time but soon those fights turned into love and now they can't live without each other. He's always there for you whenever you need him for any reason. He's Armaan and Atul's best friend as well as mine but he's more like a brother to me since Muski is like a sister.
Okay people the time has come for all of you to meet the person behind this door who is the reason why I turn into a little school girl and blush like a red tomato. Now ladies brace yourself and don't faint that's my job and plus you can't have him he belongs to ME!
I placed my hand on the door knob and slowly opening the door I held up the camera with my other hand and walked slowly into the room. There sleeping on the bed mind you ladies shirtless yeah that's right SHIRTLESS was my boyfriend Armaan. I held up the camera and pressing the zoom button I zoomed in on his face. He was smiling in his dream and his dimples were showing. Aww how cute is he! He's sooo pretty… dude my man is sexy!
I stood there for a few seconds longer recording him totally lost that I didn't know when but the next second I was lying underneath him on the bed with him towering over me with a naughty smile on his face and all I could think was Uh Oh!

Meet Armaan Mallik or my boyfriend or as I like to call him dork face! I know it's not a very romantic name to give your boyfriend but there is a reason why. See when ever I am down, not feeling well or mad at him he will make such stupid and dorky faces at me to cheer me up that I end up melting at his stupid charm hence the name dork face but you should hear what he calls me let's see there's: Beautiful, Baby, Basket why because I beat him at basketball, Sweetpea, Minnie Mouse and there are so many others I have lost count! Anyways he's 26 years old and is a doctor too. I'm sorry! I promise this is the last doctor I introduce you all to for a while. He works with me at the hospital and we have been together for about 4 years now. Now before you all jump on me yes he has meet my parents and the same goes with me. My parents love him and his parents love me. The only thing left is marriage! But let's not go there yet! As you can see we are very much in love and I think you can all see that it's not my fault that I end up blushing like a school girl, I mean come on if your boyfriend was this hot you would blush too! And if you can believe it I'm blushing right now just talking about him! Blush Alert#3!

Okay you all heard what he just said right? Now let me explain see when ever Armaan wants me do anything for him be it cook, help him shop or clean his room he always pins me to either the wall or a bed and then won't get off of me until I give him a kiss and if I don't then me makes me say I love you to him all day in front of everyone! I know it's embarrassing I mean imagine saying I love you to your boyfriend in front of your parents! Ewww!
"Okay fine!"
I moved my face closer towards his and kissed him gently on the lips and tried to move back just as quickly but it was too late he had gone into "Armaan Mode". Oh let me explain again I almost forgot about Amraan Mode basically that is when Armaan gets into one of his naughty moods and I end up blushing like a red crayon. Now don't get me wrong it's not that I don't like being romantic with him it's just that I don't want to go down that road before marriage! See I'm a very old fashioned girl in that sense but modern in other aspects. What why are you all staring at me like that I'm telling you the truth! Fine! I tired but I guess I can't lie to you people.. yes I'm not as innocent as you all think I am.. me and Armaan have been intimate with each other there I said it! Happy! Now please don't judge me okay! It's 2012 for god's sake! People do these types of things all the time so why not me! And besides our parents know about it! Yeah that's right they know and surprisingly they didn't have a problem as long as we both kept our selves safe.
There was suddenly a knock at the door startling both of us and we broke apart. Armaan got off of me and I grabbed my camera and started recording him while he put his shirt back on.
"Yo Dork face your on camera!"
"What? Baby why do you have a camera? And why are you taping me when I'm half dressed?"
"I'm making a documentary about my life and since you are apart of it you have to be in it now say something!"
"Okay…Hello to all the sexy ladies out there! Call me!"
Hearing his comment I give him a "I will kill you" look and instead of saying sorry all he did was wink at me and walk out of the room. I stood there dumbfounded for a few seconds until I heard my name being called from out side the door. I paused the camera once more and made my way out of the room to join everyone. It was late into the evening when I got home after dropping Muski home and came home to find my whole family sitting at the dinner table waiting for me. I gave everyone a "I'm sorry I'm late" look and sat down to eat. It was much later when everyone was done that me and di helped mom clean up and we all went to our rooms to sleep as we all had to get up early the next day. I entered my room and after changing into my Minnie mouse pajamas I grabbed the camera one last time before going to sleep.
Hi again! So I hope you all enjoyed your first day with me! Oh sorry hold on it's my phone! It's Dork face! He's saying goodnight! Wait let me just text him back…. Okay done! Anyways where was I oh yeah I know a lot happened and you all must be overwhelmed with so much information, I mean you all met my family, my friends and my dear boyfriend all in one day, that's a lot to take in and I don't blame you but too bad you couldn't meet Atul but hopefully you will meet him tomorrow at the hospital! What? Did you all think that I would leave you at home? No way! You're all coming with me! So go get some sleep! And let me sleep too cause I can't be late! So I will see you all tomorrow bright and early! Goodnight!
I turned off the camera hit the pillow and went to sleep smiling thinking about Dork face!
