We started on a good note. A small misunderstanding was cleared.
Arnav Singh Raizada:
The truth dawned upon you. You realized that Khushi was not refusing the prize just to be mean to you, or to refuse your favor. She meant it as a good for someone.
This is something you would have done yourself, Arnav, and in pretty much the same sneaky way.
And then, doubt creeped in like a snake, camouflaged in worry for her. You looked around hoping your suspicions would not be true. But then, your worst idea of a nightmare came true.
This was no dark, concealed place on a terrace where no one would see, she was no longer unattached - in public view she was there talking to that man, who Arnav detests from the pits of his being, she who is Arnav's wife.
One may wonder why Arnav didn't leap into action. Why did he let his presence remain undetected as on the night when his heart broke? Why didn't he let them see that he knew? He could have just gone there on the pretense to talk to his wife.
The pain ... no, the agony of seeing his wife with this man, the anguish of seeing another man look at his wife with such desire, and the misery and helplessness of knowing that though this man was his sister's husband, he could not do much - paralysed Arnav. He was as paralyzed as Payal was on stage, with his own jar of woes. Arnav saw his hand rise and touch his wife's hand. She stayed with him, not stopping him from touching her.
Arnav craned your neck to see him after she left. Shyam stood looking just the same as though Khushi was still there, smile intact. This was probably beyond what he expected of Khushi.
When he asked where she'd been, Anjali covered up for her. How did he make that trip home, is beyond me. After seeing what he did, how did he keep his cool till he got home, and even then alone with Khushi - is something I cannot comprehend. How does a man hide such extreme anger, pain and hurt.
His facade seems like a good place to hide. Everyone knows Arnav talks less and looks grumpy even when there is nothing to be gumpy about, so no one doubts or questions him. What's more even they perceived something, they'd probably ask if he'd had a tiff with his wife and he'd have to respond negative. And then, they'd probably all side with Khushi against him, knowing that he was hurt too, probably no one would try to console him. He knows his family too well.
Even when they are alone and he asks her, she refuses to comply. Of course, how would she tell where she'd been. She's trying to be good in everyone's eyes, so that when the truth is out, people would have a hard time blaming her. Not only his family, but his office workers, the society and other families also would think the same - Khushi cannot be wrong.
No, this must be stopped. She will do only as he says and she answer him, not question him.
Why then, Arnav, you could not let her fall down? According to you she is fallen in any case, why would you then pull her up? No matter what she does, even up to meeting her lover while she was your wife, you still cannot be the same ASR you were with her.
Arnav, possible questions you may ask:
She can be so good others; why must she be so horrible to me and my sister? Is the Khushi who can refuse a prize amount of 5 lacs to help a family, the same person who tries to destroy my sister's married life?
Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada
As it is she had to go with Shyam to get medicines for Anjali. He's used the opportunity to be as filthy with her as she exptects him to be. But to her horror, he is getting way bolder than he used to. Each time he corners her, he gets bolder. Last time, he attempted to touch her when Anjali was around; and this time, he held her hand and only left at his will while the whole family, and more important Arnav is around.
To top it, Arnav is asking where she went and Anjali has put a stopper on the answer. For some reason, Arnav is adamant on knowing where she went. How would she answer? Anjali needs to be sure that Arnav would not worry.
Why does he want his questions answered when he is unwilling to answer her questions? All he says is something about someone's life. She would not answer. Even if she could, she would not. What would he do - get angry?
Well, yes, Khushi, he would. Then came the tirade, and his trademark comment that she was a gold digger. It was hard to hear that she was after jewellery. He is throwing things around and spewing venom. Why is he adamant on knowing where she went? She is his wife when he wants and not his wife when he wants.
He tells her that he is angry because he has to see her every day even though he hates her and he's stuck in a 6 month temporary marriage. And yet, when she is about to fall, he cannot let her fall. He must save her.
Possible questions Khushi:
Why must he tolerate me when he hates me? Why must he be adamant on where I was? Why does he feel I am after his money, when I am earning my own? What was it about the only two things he's stated - she's hurt him and someone's life depended on him marrying her?
Why is Shyam getting bolder by the day?
Arnav & Khushi
Arnav, if you only knew what she meant when she said you wouldn't say what was in your heart and the fact that she does not understand your questions. The pain you're putting yourself through is so unnecessary.
You spot rather well that he would not say what's in his heart, but his reason isn't his ego or his pride. He's already told you the reason - its because he is hurt, and you hurt him. The pain you're putting yourself through is so unnecessary.
1. LOVED how Arnav came to his senses when the truth about Payal's lack of performance came out. How easily in an instant he figured out the reason behind Khushi's denial to take the prize.
This is encouraging. A little hint goes a long way only if the hint is staring in the face and he is willing to take it.
Even if it sputters for a second, this brain battery works!
2. Loved that finally Arnav called her - Khushi Singh Raizada.
3. LOVED that when the organizer said that she'd left with her husband - Arnav was prompt to point out that he was her husband.
Possessive, huh!
4. LOVED how Khushi stood firm against Shyam.
Though the shock of Shyam's increasing boldness was registered.
3. TOTALLY LOVED the conversation our newly-weds had on the steps.
4. Where the hell were you? Don't you dare lie to me!
Ah! Already decided that she'd lie.
She's a step ahead, Arnav. She refused to answer at all!
5. Khushi was confused. She can read his anger, she can read the ego – but somehow it seems she cannot understand the push to know where she'd been. Though she turned it around stating that she refuses to tell him, but actually, she does not get it.
LOVED that she actually said she does not understand his question. His question in itself is nothing complex, but the way he asks it and the stress he puts on knowing it, the assumption he announces as though he knows she'd lie - she can't get it.
6. LOVED that though Arnav thinks he knows where Khushi has been and what she's been up tp - still he wants to know it from her. He wants her to say it. Why Arnav?
Do you feel there is a hope for redemption even now? Or do you wanna see if she'd tell you anything?
7. LOVED that though he tells her not to dare him, she still did.
8. LOVED LOVED that even though he was dared, when he saw her preparing for the fall, he couldn't let her fall!!
9. Khushi, dear, when someone saves you from the fall, you don't say - you want to be in control - you say thanks!
Others
1. LOVED that the family who was helped came and thanked.
2. LOVED that Nani saw what Khushi did and she openly appreciated the two sisters.
3. LOVED MAMI JAAN's speech :)

The Case of the Unwitting Cupid
*James Bond sees the Raizadas huddling towards Mami Jaan and Payaliya Bahu and Arnav messing with Khushi's mind - slinks back and puts on the grey overcoat, hat and dark shades to find the instigater of trouble - Shyam Manohar Jha (SMJ), the unwitting cupid *
Bond: *stays in the shadow of the stairs, unseen* Psst... Agent 000!
SMJ: *doesn't notice*
Bond: *raises eyebrow and sighs* Shyam!
SMJ: *startled* What are you doing here? I told you not to come here.
Bond: We had no update from you and the Fandom is clamoring for progress report. Why haven't you done anything so far?
SMJ: I am trying. What can I do? I tried so hard, these two are so dumb.
Bond: We want results. I haven't come all the way here to hear your excuses.
SMJ: Why don't you try it?
Bond: if this were an international game, I might've. But this is hardly beyond the same city - in fact it is hardly beyond the same house! Don't tell me you can't handle a game within the confines of one house!
SMJ: Well, I took her out with me. He didn't see it. I messed with her in the Chemist shop. He didn't find that out. Even the Chemist noticed, but Arnav? No! I held her hand for something like 20 seconds, and this time he saw!! But did he do anything? NO! I thought he'd come over and try to at least get Khushi out of it, but NO! I gave her all the looks, but did Khushi get the point that I was half-mad, NOPE!
Bond: *sounds worried* You don't?
SMJ: *gathers himself* I mean... I do. I just need some more time.
Bond: *nods* I know this is a hard case, but if you want to prove yourself worthy of number 999, you need to get this done. Fandom is depending on you. You picked that handkerchief. What are you doing with it?
SMJ: *silly smile of his face* Aah! I'm keeping it ...
Bond: Eh!
SMJ: *gathers himself* I mean I'm keeping it where Arnav can find it, I hope to heavens, and try to dig, again I hope to heavens.
Bond: You can't leave it to chance. Be active... be proactive!
SMJ: *in self-defense* I was proactive, I left my thread hanging on their cupboard. I hope Laxmi hasn't got to it before either one of them. Though Laxmi has more sense of direction that either of them.
Bond: You must remember, Fandom has bet its money on you. You cannot let us down.
SMJ: Actually, I have an alternative. See, these two are not going anywhere with this. Arnav couldn't trust Khushi in a million years, and Khushi would not get beyond his ego till the Sun blows out. But see, why don't Khushi and I try to ...
Bond: Stop right there! Do you want your face trampled on in the Fandom stampede?
SMJ: Er...
Bond: Correct! Use the handkerchief well. I usually don't help Agents fix their case, but here's ahint for you - you also have the engagement ring, still.
SMJ: *eyes light up* Aah! By the way, Bond, why can't we talk elsewhere? I'm looking kind of silly standing by the stairs talking in to the atmosphere.
Bond: Too dangerous. I can't risk being seen with you.
SMJ: *looks alert* Dangerous for me?
Bond: Of course not! For me! Being seen with you - I'd look silly! *vanishes through the secret door*
