A lot of people are saying that the second song was boring and useless and blah... blah...

So, no one actually noticed that the lines...

Ummeed yeh sinney mein leke,

Main hoon jee rahan,

Kabhi tu miley, mujh se kahen ke;

Main hoon baas tera.

...came when Khushi opened her eyes and looked up to find Arnav holding out the earrings to her.

The lines says what was in her mind at that moment, no?

I'm living with this hope in my heart, I'm waiting for you to come around and tell me I belong to you.

And the whole song relates to their story perfectly.

Ho tere ishq mein dooba rahe
Din-raat yunhi sada
Mere khwaab se aankhein teri naa hoye juda
Mera naam tu haathon pe apne likhe baar haan
Aye kaash ke aisa bhi din laaye woh Khuda...

Happened to them, Aranv used to think about her all the time and Khushi did wrote his name ONLY once in her palm and it sent him over the moon.

Hai teri chahat meri zaroorat
Sooni hai tujh bin duniya meri
Naa reh sakoonga main door inse
Hai meri jannat galiya teri...

These lines don't even need an explanation, they have ARNAV written all over it.

Tu hai kismat tu hi hai rehmat
Tujhse hi judi hai meri har khushi

Again, these two had each other in their kismat, 'Khushi' - it's her name and she is literally his khushi, the reason for his smirks, smiles, laughs; need I say more?

Tu hi mohabbat, tu hai raahat
Lagti bhali hai teri saadgi

It was sooo happening in the scene itself, her simplicity in the fact that all she needs is to have a song to be happy... lagti bhali hai teri saadgi...

Pahta hoon khud ko haar ghadi

Tere bina tanha
Mujhe thaam le, mujhe rok le
Bhatka hoon main bhatka

Isn't he lost without her, isn't Arnav lost without Khushi?

Doesn't he need her to hold him, stop him... otherwise he would be a lost soul.

Isn't it what we are waiting for... Khushi would show Arnav what love is, make him understand and believe in love and he would be healed.

And the recurring line... Tu hi mera

All this is happening cause Arnav knows Khushi is meant to be his, he won't take it otherwise... tu hi mera.

The song clinches it with the title... the rest is only there to justify that one line.
