After watching today's episode, and going through a myriad of emotions - confused, amused, giddy, confused again, happy, annoyed, confused again - I came to one conclusion:

The CVs of the show are over-thinking everything.
I don't like to complain about the show b/c it takes away from enjoying it. And, this post isn't really a complaint per se. It's more of an observation and a message to the CVs:
Keep it simple. Keep it logical. Keep it real. Follow-through. Get back to the basics of storyline and script. Also, improve some direction and scene choices. Make moments count. Don't rush.
Let your actors do the rest.
I have loved episodes over the last few weeks. I think that there have been some really great scenes in isolation. But, what has been lacking is a sense of coherency and connectivity. A story idea starts, and then disappears. Emotions rise then fall and disappear.
I was watching old episodes/scenes the other night, and what I love is the sense of seamlessness and story progression. The love and hate between Arnav and Khushi felt real. The Rabba Ves and eye-locks were a little more intense, more purposeful. I read some posts today saying the chemistry between Arnav and Khushi has disappeared. I don't think it's disappeared, it's just not shining as naturally anymore. Because the scenes given to them have been more contrived - too comedic, too dramatic, too obvious. If the story and dialogues were stronger, if the moments between them were allowed to breathe a little, the chemistry would come back. Today's dance was one of those things where - I wasn't sure whether to love it, or be confused by it. It wasn't necessary. Arnav pulling Khushi closer to him, maybe doing one spin, one dip, having an intense eye-lock, Khushi gasping, Shyam scowling - that might have been more effective than a choreographed dance.
I love the show, and will watch it till it's over. But, I think with all the buzz around the show, and all the increased expectations, the makers are trying to heighten every moment. I think they need to go back to the drawing board. Almost look at the show like it's totally new.
Barun said in his radio interview that he and Sanaya would do 25-30 takes for each shot in the beginning of the show. The CVs obviously had a vision that they wanted to perfect. Now that the show is in "Phase II" - i.e. the main couple are now married - the CVs need to reconstruct their vision, and make it as compelling as "Phase I".
Keep it simple CVs! I have faith that you can do it. Get back to what you were doing in the first 8 months of the show. And, remember to stay true to your story and characters.

Ya i agree with you dear!😊 some things just need to be simple and not larger than life or immense, as the show's producer had said in an interview earlier. Great stories are simple yet complex. Simple in terms of understanding and complex in terms of emotions and situations. Hence, i prefer Cvs to go with simple at the moment cuz its getting too complexed.

Ahh you speak my mind!

I don't enjoy complaining about the show either..but I really hate the idea of taking 2 steps forward and 5 steps back. Chemistry between the two is natural..they've never had to practice it but why did it seem so forced today? I'm not asking for a mushy romantic scene but usually their chemistry is evident through just eye contact but today I felt something was missing. The occasion didn't call for a choreographed dance hence I felt slightly disconnected to the whole thing and maybe wasn't able to appreciate it as much as I should have.

Agreed completely about there being great scenes in isolation but as part of a show..the episodes really don't seem to flow much at all. There is definitely a lot of inconsistency. I was really hoping to see more of the Khushi that we saw yesterday..the one with that fire in her eyes and today we went back to a Khushi who hasn't been forced in to a marriage or been hurt both mentally and physically by her husband.

The CV's of this show are blessed with such a talented cast who can do pretty much whatever the script requires so I want them to take a few risks and follow the track they started out with. People complain about filler episodes..I honestly don't mind them as long as Arnav and Khushi aren't shown hating each other in one epi and whispering sweet nothings in the next.

I won't say that I'll stop watching the show cos I love the cast but I do want to see them head in the right direction. I think I ended up reiterating pretty much everything you said..apologies for that but I completely agree if that wasn't clear enough already! lol
