Before I start, I must say I am sad and disappointed at how negative this nice sunny happy place has become. I have said this before and I say it again. What is wrong with everybody?
Anyway, it took me half an hour and three viewings to recover from ASR's intensity, passion and arousal. Yes, only ASR's. Because that is what the episode was all about. It was about a man deeply in love and desperately trying to control his emotions and his sexual urges and a man who loses it, albeit for a short breathtaking while; Today it was all about how the male of the species perceives the physical and the sensual -- essential part of any true passionate love. It was about taking possession, stamping down on one's physical urges and making sure the one responsible for all this tumult is tossed around in that passion and tightly controlled arousal.
That is exactly what happened in that dance. It was not meant to be romantic... it was meant to be about the male animal's instincts. Take control, possess, consume. That is why Khushi is the passive factor and that is probably why many thought the chemistry is lacking.
((I thought Barun was brilliant in portraying this.. he has understood this perfectly. Sanaya was good too in that she didn't react with dhak dhak and mush. I am so glad she didn't react like how some ppl on this forum wanted her to. She looked exactly like how she was meant to -- didn't know what hit her look.)
All this watched by the fuming, burning eyes of Shyam who in his own way wants to do exactly that.
Like I said, it was about the male gaze today.
