Chapter 15
(M POV)
I sat in Uday's car, looking out of the window. We hadn't talked since we left my apartment. I felt like he was hiding something. I have tried to pick up a conversation with him, but we would just make it harder for me and answer it with a yes, no, maybe or a don't know.
"Uday?" I ask him, to see if he's ingoring me.
"What is it Manyata?" He replies.
"Did you just hear what I said?"
"No sorry, what did you say again," he replies, thinking hard on something.
I give out a sigh, "Forget it,". I start imagining how Uday's home must be like. I know that he's quite rich, so it must be pretty big, well at least bigger than my house. I stared out, watching each tree pass away. This silence was becoming eerie, I looked at Uday. He was smiling.
What a strange guy, is he angry at someone, sad, or happy? Then I decide that he probably has emotional swings, making him jump from anger to happiness.
"Urm.. you OK?" I ask him again.
"Yup, why wouldn't I be?" he tells me, looking at my face whilst driving.
"I don't get you," I muttered. He just laughed.
"Of course you don't Princess,"
We soon stopped at a cafe, Uday went to open the door for me and held out his hand. I placed my hand on his and he helped me out of the car. We walk to a table, and Uday pulls out my chair and then pushes it in. "Thank you," I tell him. He nods.
"So why are we here?" I ask him, raising one eyebrow in suspicion.
"Just wanted to take a break from driving Princess. Besides, I'm quite hungry," and as if on cue, the waiter comes and gives us some menus.
"Well, I'm not hungry much," I tell him.
"Come on Princess, you have to eat something, there's still an hour's drive upto where I live. You'll be hungry before we even reach there," he replies back.
I knew he was right, but i decided to ignore him. He decided ignoring in the car ride, so I decide to ignore him too. Two can play this game, and I smile at the thought.
The waiter comes and takes our order, Uday tells him what he wants, and then the waiter askes me what I want. I tell me to get me some coke. The waiter goes away, and we carry on with our conversation.
"Coke? That's it?" He askes me. I nod, trying to ignore going too deep into this conversation. "Well don't moan at me when you get hungry, I did warn you," he tells me, laughing.
I shrug it off, deciding to ask him a few questions.
"Tell me more about your family." I ask him.
"Well there's a lot to say," He tells me. I think, deciding to ask him about his mum and dad.
"How are your parents like? I mean are your mum and dad nice?" I ask him.
"Yeah my dad's OK, my mum was so quite nice to me,"
"What do you mean was?" I ask him, then realising he meant that his mum wasn't with him anymore. "I'm sorry," I quickly tell him, when I realise.
He shrugs, "Don't be sorry, it's not your fault." I nod.
Soon the waiter comes with our food. I sip my coke slowly, watching Uday eat his food. Then he gets up, and pulls me out off my chair. "What are you doing Uday?" I ask him in a hush.
Being him, he just smiles and makes me follow him into a beautiful garden. He lets go off me, and pulls out something.
A rose.
Not any old rose, but a red one.
I blush, taking the rose he is offering to me. "I love you princess," He tells me, looking into my eyes.
"I-I love you too," and with this he holds my hands again and pulls me closer to him. Then dropping me towards the ground, and picking me back up. He takes the rose out of my hands and places it in my hair.
"Beautiful," He whispers.
I hug him, tightly. He hugs me back too. Soon I look up to him with a smile on. He smiles back to me.
There we are, smiling stupidly, when the same waiter who gave our food comes and coughs. I go out of Uday's hug, and tidy myself.
"Sorry sir, here's your bill," Uday nods, giving him the money.
"Here, keep the change," Uday tells him, the waiter smiles and goes back into the cafe. Uday looks back at me, and then checks his watch. "We should go back to the car now," He tells me. I nod, still smiling.
Uday admitted that he loved me, and all I could see in the future was happiness. I walked back to the car, still with my stupid smile on my face.
I didn't care what the world thought, all I cared about was that Uday loved me.
And I loved him back.

(U POV)
The rest of the drive back home, we have simple conversations about our family. I tell her about my dad, my mum and Unniti. I also tell her what I used to do when I was younger.
"I used to play hide and seek, with my sister. By the time I used to find her, she was either fast asleep or she hurt herself. I used to carry her home all the time from the woods," I tell her. She chuckles.
"Well good thing Unniti isn't like that anymore. I wouldn't have had the chance to talk to her because she would have been asleep or in hospital all the time," she replies back, and I start laughing.
"So what did you get upto in your childhood?" I asked her.
"Well, I always used to be with my friend who lived next door to me. Her name was Jasmine." She tells me. I recognaise that name from somewhere, but I can't remember.
Jasmine. Who could it be?
Then I remember. She used to work at my shop, but then she quit. Couple of weeks after she quit, she was on the news. They had said that she was murdered. I grim, remembering the description they gave out. Soon Manyata has finished, and she starts shaking me.
"Uday, look where your driving! You nearly hit that person," she yells.
"Sorry Princess, I was enjoying what you were saying, you should talk less. That way there will be the less chance of either of us dying or someone else," I tell her letting out a laugh.
She just shakes her head, and looks out of the window.

I see my home coming nearer and nearer by each second. Soon I am parking my car. I open Manyata's door, and help her out. "Wow, this place is amazing. Just like a royal palace," she exclaims.
"Yeah it's OK I guess," I tell her.
"OK? This would be like my dream place to live in!" She exclaimed.
"Well Princess," I wink. "Let's give you a grand tour of the house,"
