Ahem watched as Gopi without any expression stood near the wardrobe & ask him about what clothes did he want to wear for work. It suprised Ahem that she had asked him this question. In the past when Ahem was distant to Gopi, Gopi learned all about what her husband likes & step by step started to take care of him. She started taking care of everything related to him...like waking him up for work, his green tea, his clothes for work , so much so Ahem could no longer hold back to her love & care & had given her complete rights on everything related to him. It always bought him happiness that she was always there for him ensuring everything was smooth for him. Today when she did not happily take up & excute her right, it confirmed Ahem that she was upset & maybe he was the cause for that. As Ahem reminded her that it was she who selected clothes everyday for him & his concern that he was getting late, he did not see a flicker of reaction on her face. As he helped her with his choice he kept observing her to understand what was troubling her & asked her if everything was fine. As she answered him back that everything is fine, he observed that she did not meet his eyes & at that point it confirmed to him that she was upset with him.
As Gopi turned to walk away from him, Ahem could no longer bear seeing her sad & upset at him for his behaviour. He immediately held her hand to stop her from moving away from him. During the 1st few months of their wedding , there were many times that because of Ahem, her smile just vanished & he knew about it, but then since he did not care for her, he was not bothered, at times he was bothered on humanitarian grounds but nothing beyond that. But as Ahem started to care for her & as his love for her kept growing in him, he started to care for her & her happiness & always wanted to see a smile on her face, but then he never got deeply involved as he did not know how to take care of her. But today he did not want her to leave their room with sadness in her heart. He wanted take away all her pain & see her happy, smiling & full of life. Ahem realised that last night due to his headache & not knowing what had happened to him & with his mom also scolding him, he had taken out his irritation on her for not keeping the room clean. He realised that in his bad mood he had scolded her badly & in the process had hurt her which he never actually meant. As he explained her his condition, he hoped that she would understand on why he had reacted that way & forgive him. As Gopi smiled at him to tell it was fine, he observed that her smile was not heartfelt & did not reach her eyes & there was no happiness reflecting on her face.
Ahem knew from his past experiences with her that she had a big heart & always forgave him & never let the blame stay with him even when he had hurted her really bad, the most the recent one being when she fell down when he was trying to make her walk. But today with a just a simple ok she walked away from him. At that point Ahem realised that she was really hurt because of him & she did not share her pain with him. The distance she was maintaining from him was troubling his heart badly & he wanted to reach out to her & take away all her sadness. With that resolution Ahem got ready to go to work.
When Ahem asked Gopi if she was upset with him because of yesterday she looked upto him the 1st time in the day with a hope that he remembered what had happened between them!!! But when she realised that he just did not remember anything it tore her heart. As she was unable to share her grief & pain with him, not wanting him to feel bad for his behaviour, with a small ok to his apology, she walked away from him !!!
As Gopi was in the mandir taking care of her kanaji, she could no longer hold back her pain & burst out sharing her feelings with him !!! Since her childhood she always shared her love, her sadness , her grief, her happiness with her kanaji !!! Her kanaji in return gave her strength to face life with faith & honesty in fulfilling all her duties & responsibilities. But today she questioned him on why did he turn away from her ? She questioned him why did he give let her have her Ahemji's love for a moment to just take it away from her !!! All thru her life Gopi had craved & wanted love but except her mamaji no one loved her. She accepted it & continued to live with the support of her Kanaji. Latter as she married Ahem, she hoped that she would get her part of love from her husband & her MIL who would fill her world only with love. As her MIL showered her with love after the initial phase, she finally realised what was mother's love ! As her husband hated her mere presence, even during those dark days her kanaji held her hand & never let her faith waiver that someday her husband will love her!! But as she started to feel Ahem's love for her, her heart felt happy & was at peace that finally her kanaji had fullfilled her wish. On Holi as Ahem claimed her as his own, her happiness was out of bounds to latter be disappointed & dejected that her husband did not remember the special moment of love shared between them. She realised & questioned her kanaji if he had no blessing of love for her, then why did he let her build hopes & believe love especially in her Ahemji's love !!! She cried her heart out to questioned her Kanaji on what was her mistake that people especially her kanaji also did not feel she was worthy of his love !!!
Ahem saw Gopi walking from the mandir & he immediately stopped her. He wore her favourite coloured shirt to cajole her to forgive him. As he realised she did not lift her eyes to see him, he immediately called & got her attention to the shirt he was wearing. As he saw some appreciation in her emotion towards his shirt he was happy that he had taken the decision of wearing her favourite shirt. Ahem also let her know that he knew it was her favourite shirt & he also likes her choice & hence he wore it for her. Today Ahem wants to please his wife to see her smile with happiness in her eyes. With seeing that she appreciated his effort, he asked her for his green tea. Ahem has realised over time that Gopi appreciates small things & is happy with it but what he has not realised is that for other's happiness that she would hide her sorrow. And that is what she has done when she looked at his effort of pleasing her. His effort to please her, moved her that he was concerned for her but as she looked back, it was his love that she looked & hoped for !!! To ensure there is always a smile on his face, she hid her sorrow from him.
As Ahem realised the tea cup had slipped from his hand, he looked at her to realise that she was still distant & was starting to get worried. He could not see her in pain & immediately apologised to her so that she does not blame herself. He saw her concern as blood started to come out of his wound on his finger but as she took care of him with complete concern for him, he realised that she maintained her distance from him & her love which was always part of her concern was missing. Gopi's distance has started to worry Ahem & he is doing all he thinks would bring her smile & spark back into her & into their lives. He realises that because of his shouting the last night that she was maitaining her distance but he has so far not realised that there could be more than his shouting which has made her distant to him !! He is hurt by her distance & craves for her love & attention...but he has also realised that she is not sharing her real problem with him & he feels lost without her !!!
On the otherhand Gopi realised that though Ahem is concerned about her & takes care of her , she realised that no one, even her Ahemji does not love her. So wiill she be able to keep her distance from him to heal her broken heart when he would tug her heart again & again to share his love & claim her love in return !!!
