CHAPTER 14: Surprises

Arnav and khushi reached the gupta house. They got down and arnav asked the driver to park the car and go home by auto. He then took out a briefcase and handed it to khushi asking her to give it to buaji in the morning. It contained all the things that khushi had to wear in her marriage ceremony. They went to the window and arnav called akash's phone. After 2 calls akash finally picked up and came and opened the window.

Arnav: akash I told you not to get lost that you forget all that is going around you.

Akash : sorry bhai, phone was on silent. Come to the front. I'll open the doors and let you in.

They finally went in.

Akash:bhai, shall we leave?

Arnav: go to the car. I'll leave khushi in her room and I'll be right behind you.

Akash: right bhai.

And akash left.

Arnav took khushi's hands in his and led her to her room. They both were deeply lost in each other's eyes. As soon as they reached khushi's door both stopped moving.

Khushi: please don't go.

Arnav: if it were in my hands khushi, I would never stay away from you. But we will be with each other tomorrow night. As husband and wife.

Khushi had small tears in her eyes and so did arnav.

Arnav: after a few hours I shall never let go off you again. So enjoy your last few hours as a free woman. After that I'll keep you near me at all times. I'll glue myself with you if I have to.

And winked. Khushi turned red.

Khushi: enough with your sweet talk.

Arnav: from tomorrow I'll need a doctor at home at all times.

Khushi gets scared and asks him why.

Arnav: you know that I am diabetic. I cant consume sweet stuff.

Khushi: ya so?

Arnav: your lips are so sweet that I'll definitely fall ill.

Khushi blushed and hit arnav on his chest.

Khushi: you trouble me too much.

Arnav: its because you look cute in everything you do.

Khushi blushed again.

Arnav: fine goodnight.

Khushi: goodnight.

Arnav: bye

Khushi: bye. Now go already.

Arnav kissed her and then left. Khushi went inside and slept feelimg the happiest she had felt in her life.

arnav and akash returned to the raizada mansion. Both didn't talk on their journey as they were both lost in their thoughts about their wives.

akash: bhai you climbed down easily, but how will you climb back in?

arnav: I'll use that ladder which is kept in storehouse near the boundary. Don't worry about me. you go and sleep peacefully.

Akash: fine bhai. See you tomorrow.

And akash left to his room while arnav climbed back into his room with the ladder, pulled back the rope that he had made. Arranged everything in his room and finally fell asleep.

khushi woke with a start as buaji was banging on their door. She saw as payal got up and went and opened the door. Buaji was shocked seeing payal there.

Nuaji: am I still dreaming. Payal are you here. That means is arnav and akash babua here too?

She panicked. She ran around the house checking under beds, tables, bathrooms, bedrooms and the storeroom.

Khushi caught hold of her buaji and asked her to calm down.

Khushi: no buaji this is not your dream. Payal came here last night before we all went to sleep. Arnav and akash have never come here. Akash dropped payal along with a briefcase arnavji sent.

Buaji was still worried. She didn't know what was dream and what was reality. Looking at buaji's state payal and khushi tried their best not to laugh out because the confusion was evident in buaji's eyes.

Buaji took the case and opened it to find the dress and jewels that khushi has to wear for the wedding.

Buaji: ohk leave all that. Get ready. We have to go to raizada mansion in a few hours. So go get ready. And since your marriage will take place there you can get completely ready in RM. So just put on any clothes for now and keep this briefcase with you carefully.

arnav had sent his driver to pick up the gupta's and their guests. The driver gave khushi a chit from arnav.

It read,

Hi tomato,

Don't tell anyone but I have a small surprise for you waiting at home. I know we aren't supposed to see each other today before the marriage. So don't worry about all that. I'll give it to you when your alone and getting ready.

Yours truly,

Laad governor…

Khushi looked at it and smiled. She folded the paper and kept it in a box which had her bangles. She had already started blushing so much just reading it. She didn't know how she would react ehrn they will finally share a room together.

Payal: oh look. Someone is blushing soo much remembering abou their special someone.

She said this and pinched khushi's cheek and started running as khushi ran after her sister.

Khushi caught herpinched her sister and now khushi was being chased by payal. They both laughed and played around.

Buaji: have you no shame? Look at your daughter garima

Khushi: why buaji? What am I supposed to be ashamed of?

Buaji:its your marriage. Your supposed to be shy and not be able to look at everyone in the eyes and look at you. Your BIG smile showing all your teeth and you have no sorrow for leaving behind all of us. You sanka devi? You are supposed to blush and stuff but all you are doing is khee khee khee.

Khushi pouted and replied to buaji,

Khushi: why shouldn't I be happy? All my dreams are coming true today and I am going to be married to arnavji. Do you expect me to cry?

Buaji: hai re nand Kishore. Put some sense into this sanka devi. I don't know what arnav bitwa saw in her to fall in love with her. She is a big paagal.

Khushi and payal laughed seeing buaji so frustrated because of all the arrangements. Everything had happened so quickly that it didn't give them a lot of time to prepare. But due to the raizada's help everything was ready on time even if people got frustrated due to lack of time. Finally everyone was ready and all sat into the cars and left for raizada mansion.

Khushi: I am coming arnav. After today I wont leave your side.

And she felt herself blushing again.

They had arrived at the raizada masion. As they got down from the cars they were greeted by the raizada family, everyone except arnav and akash. They were nowhere to be seen.

Naniji: welcome, welcome. Please come in and make yourselves feel at home.

Anjali: so khushi. Finally the day has arrived when khushi enters chotey's life and fills it with khushi.

Saying to khushi and winking at her.

Khushi felt herself blushing again. Today was the day everyone were going to pull her leg and she knew it. She wouldn't be able to stop them at all.

Anjali then took the gupta family to akash's room.

Anjali: khushi and payal, you both get ready here. akash will get ready in chotey's room. And khushi, stop looking here and there. You wont be able to find chotey until the marriage today.

And khushi looked away embarrassed, as she was caught red handed.

And saying so Anjali left to finish the rest of the preperations and check everything one last time. Just then payal got a call from akash asking her to come to the kitchen. Payal:khushi just stay here. I'll be right back.

Khushi: ok jiji.

Saying so payal left leaving khushi all alone. Khushi got out her phone and texted arnav telling her that she was alone for the next 45 to 50 mins. But she got no reply. She was getting sad that maybe arnav forgot about his gift.

Then suddenly she heard a noise. and received a text from arnav saying,

DO NOT PANIC.

She cursed arnav. If he told her not to panic then obviously all she could do was panic. Because knowing arnav he always did something crazy, something extreme.

Then as she returned from the bathroom, she saw arnav snading there or what looked like arnav. It was his body but his face was covered with a huge black mask, which only had two slits for him to breathe but no slits for his eyes.

Khushi: arnavji is that you?

Arnav: didn't I ask you to drop the 'ji' tomato?

Khushi: what are you doing here? we aren't supposed to see each other.

Arnav: exactly. I cant see you, and you cant see me.

Khushi: oh you stupid laad governor when will you start to follow rules?

Saying this she ran into arnav's arms and hugged him.

Arnav: oh come on khushi. I have a brain. Obviously I had to make use of it. you can always bend rules and find loop holes in them.

Khushi: anyway what surprise have you got for me.

Arnav: I have three separate surprises for you. One you'll be getting tonight, the other tomorrow and the third one after the second one is made use of.

Khushi: what kind of gift was that. You have just given me blank clues. And a huge suspense which has already started to make me crazy. Please just tell them to me na.

Arnav: sorry khushi. You'll just have to wait till the night.

Khushi: fine.

Someone knocked on the door. It was payal.

Payal:khushi open the door.

Khushi: one sec jiji.

Turning to arnav she again hugged him. Both felt the warmth, the energy flow inside them as soon as they came near each other.

Arnav: fine see you after 2 hours at the mandap my beautiful tomato princess.

Saying so he left the way he had come in. and left some peace and a renewed sense of happiness in khushi.

Khushi: I am khushi arnav singh raizada. Thank you devi maiyya for all the help you did to make arnavji oh sorry arnav and me come together. Thanks a lot mom and dad for watching over me.

She finally went and opened the door and let payal come in.
