AK Excerpt - The Last Goodbye
It's supposed to be short so please don't complain on it's length -_- I completely love the song to the core! And it inspired me to write this. Here, the story is pretty sad, but I still try to ignite hope into the whole thing. I hope you all like it =]
I see her everyday.
No one would believe me. They said she was dead. Yes, to them she was but to me she was still there.
I always remembered Khushi's last words. She had said she'd never leave me, no matter how far she went away she'll always reside in me.
All I had was her memories but that was enough to keep me going. Life wasn't as bright but believing that she was around somehow consoled me.
I see her everyday.
I would look into the pictures, and remember those golden moments we spent together. Her smile was still fresh in my mind. I'd close my eyes and that bright smile would vividly come together. The sound of her anklets still rung into my ears. I'd still feel that Khushi would come running and the sound of her anklets would engulf the entire place into its beautiful rhythm. Her bright eyes twinkled as brightly as ever in those pictures. I'd still remember how she whispered 'I Love You' closely into my ears.
Her bangles lied lifelessly on the table.
Roses seemed colourless without her.
Summers lost its warmth.
That portrait of her in my room looked so alive. I could stare at it for hours.
The rain wasn't as beautiful anymore, but when I reminisced Khushi dancing in it, it would brighten up.
I lost so much, yet the hope would remain alive. I missed her every moment, and wished to find a way to bring her back.
Goodbye was never this hard to say to anyone.
Maybe, I'd find her. Somewhere...someday.
