Saaya - My Companion, My Shadow...
Hi dearies, I'm really thankful for the support I have received from you all. I thought Thread8 will be the last one, but I guess your support let me open one more thread. Before I go further with the story, here is a summary of the events till now.
Summary
This is the story of an young girl who was born in an strict orthodox family, where no value or respect were given to women. The circumstances she grew up made her susceptible to all harsh situations she has to face in her life. She was beautiful, intelligent and innocent. But never even once did she realize her qualities as none made her realize that and she never bothered to listen to praises. Her mother always stood by her but never had a say beyond her father's and brother's decisions.
The only privilege she got from her father was to complete her graduation according to her will. But she never knew that it was also part of her father's crooked business mentality. He knew that once she is well-educated it will be easier for him to get an alliance with any wealthy businessman so that he can expand his own business empire.
The college life was a fresh start for her. But it didn't last for long as she fell in love with someone who never noticed her even once, who was in love with someone else. She never expected anything and let herself be drawn into the unconditional love for him. It even went to an extent where she lost her most precious possession to him. It was a mistake he committed unknowingly, thinking her to be someone else in a drunken state of mind. As she never wanted him to be guilty of that, she kept everything to herself and burned within each passing day.
That incident was a blow to all her dreams, her wishes. She could neither get him nor forget him. She decided to move ahead in her life, in her studies. She succeeded in her studies and was rewarded with constant appreciation from all. But not even once could she forget him. He had become an inseparable part of her life.
Then came her marriage which she knew will never be her decision. She was not willing to cheat someone knowingly. She can neither love the person, nor give herself to him as she lost herself to the man she loved and still love. She was relived when her would-be made a marriage deal with her. But when she came to know that she was going to get married to her love, her happiness knew no bounds. She will be happy to live her whole life just seeing him near by. That was more than what she could have asked for.
And their lives were bounded together. He was glad to have someone who never interfered in his personal space, as his wife. After the betrayal from his ex-lover cum fiancee, he had developed a strong hatred towards women and his marriage was just for his dadima's sake.
She was welcomed wholeheartedly by his family and she was relieved from the burden she was carrying through out. She adjusted herself to his lifestyle and family. She took care of every need of his, unknown to him. There life was going smooth without any encounters until he started realizing the real her.
He considered her to be a naive, village girl who was not even educated much. But in contrary she was everything he thought she was not. He started understanding her and her relation with his past. It made him apprehensive. He started doubting her intentions and decided to keep a watch over her. Never once he thought of trusting her or giving their relation a chance.
On the other hand, she started realizing that she was not doing justice to their relation as she thought she can never be an ideal wife to him. She wanted him to be happy with his life but she felt she was an obstruction to that. She decided to clear his way and let him be happy. Never once she thought that she can give him the happiness he deserved as his wife.
However destiny had different plans for both. Their direct confrontation helped both of them to understand each other better. The realization of her love towards him definitely changed something in him. But he couldn't still get to trust her.
They made a public appearance together for the first time in a launch party and the party was a turning point in their life. His past made a re-entrance in his life, but this time for better. He realized that his love was never reciprocated. He decided that he will not let his past ruin his present and future.
Moreover it made him understand his wife better. He decided to give a chance to their relation. Both failed to keep their emotions in check at times and the physical attraction got better.
Their relation took a new path with new hopes. Jealousy was the first step for their relation to move ahead. It awakened new feelings of possession and undeniable passion in him. They started getting closer. He started to understand her better and she began to rely more on him. The strong attraction that he felt for her was turning to something pure, unknown to him.. Love..
There relation has started to get strong as the distance made him realize his feelings for her. He realized it was not just physical attraction but something divine. He became her strength and she began to accept the fact that she deserve happiness in her life. He confessed his feelings for her and they took a step ahead in their relation.
But their happiness was short lived as the secret of their past, that fateful night, came out in a worst way. He felt betrayed and she didn't give any explanation. They began to drift apart. She could never let him feel guilty and he kept blaming her for no fault of hers.
He realized that once again he made a mistake in judging his wife. He knew she could never cheat someone and whatever may have happened won't be her mistake. He understood how unconditional her love is and how much impact his words had on her. His love won over all the other emotions and he decided never to hurt her again no matter what happened.
His apology was not expected by her and she could have never let him down. For her, his happiness mattered the most. When she realized that his happiness lies on her, she was ready to do anything for it. The realization that her love was reciprocated, washed away the insecurities she had. And they started a new journey based on their love and trust.
His love and passion bowled over her. Their relation was unique and divine. But still a small figment of the past was left hidden from him which he definitely had the right to know. Her unconditional and selfless love was not letting her to tell him the truth.
Their honeymoon brought them closer both physically and emotionally. Her insecurities were still somewhere prevailing. His decision to let go off his ego and offer her to work with him was one step towards eliminating her insecurities.
His love and support slowly enables her to let go of her inhibitions. She rejoices at the realization that their love, their baby is growing in her womb. She plans to surprise him but alas fate had some other plans for them. The truth of that fateful night was disclosed to him and it again creates a drift between them.
His distancing was really painful for her especially after their togetherness and with the pregnancy. She keeps it for herself as she wanted him to be the first person who know about it. Even though she takes care of herself, the emotional state makes her weaker.
He distanced himself from her due to guilt and grief of having done such a thing to her. But he failed to understand her yearning for her. When he comes to know about her pregnancy, he became overburdened with the guilt as he failed her again.
Let us see how he gets over his guilt with her selfless, unconditional love and washes away the pain and hurt she faced alone as the journey continues.. Saaya.. his companion, his shadow.. Remember shadow never leaves the owner.
