After taking the form of a tree, Kantak follows Sati in the forest. King Daksh meets Lord Brahma and tells him to search for a match for Sati. Lord Brahma assures him that he will help him. Anusuya is shocked to receive the book back from Sati. She tells her that she is on the wrong path and this will only bring more sorrow for her. However, Sati has decided that she will forget about Shiva.

Kantak attacks Sati when outside Anusuya's house. However, Shiva's trishul saves Sati from the attack. Shiva assigns Nandi to save Sati from all kinds of dangers, both from outside and inside. He also tells Nandi that if Sati wants to marry someone else, then she should be able to do that without any problems.

Meanwhile, Tarkasur finds out that Kantak has not been able to kill Sati. He makes another plan. Brahma tells Vishnu about Daksh's plan to find a match for Sati. Vishnu says that he should find a match sooner and asks him to meet Rishi Angira and ask his son's hand for Sati. Angira says that he will only get his son married to Sati, if he is made the prajapati.

Daksh agrees to give him half of the powers of Prajapati. Angira agrees to this.
