I have been an admirer of Keerti Nagpure from the day I started watching Parichay but as of now I feel that my admiration towards her was just not justified... 😭.

She was a like a breath of fresh air (Pardon me, for being too melodramatic but actually this is how I felt..😳) on Hindi Serials arena. She had a charming face & the way she recited her dialogues use to make me glued to my P.C but now things seems to have changed...

Many of my friends on this forum have declared an open war ( a sort of.. 😉) against Keerti for being shown just too dumb & mute in-front of her husband Kunal ( aka Sameer Soni) & when I read some of the post from fellow members stating that she should have been replaced by some other female lead due to her funny Hindi accent, I was kind of amazed as to why people were exaggerating things????
I knew that she hailed from Pune & so it was quite natural for her to sound bit funny... but the way things have turned up in past episodes have proved me wrong!!!! 😕

Now, what I feel is that one may have a different accent of speaking Hindi or other regional language of which he\she may not be a part of, but speaking certain English words in a way like Keerti does in the show is a big turn-off for me, specially knowing the fact that the other lead actor-Samir Soni is a graduate from University of California...

I don't mean that everyone must have that foreign accent for speaking English in Hindi dramas but at-least Ekta would have finalized that actor who should have been a match to Sameer (He is really a Gem in small-screen).

In my view, if it would have made more sense if Mona Vasu's & Keerti Nagpure's role had been swapped. Its because Mona Vasu apart from being a talented actor also has a nice accent, though I know many of you would kill me for posting this...🤢

Previously, I wasn't noticing such things as far as Keerti's role is concerned but now as the show is progressing day by day, I'm really unable to digest this all...(Guess, all the crap of guilt feeling, divorce, tension between SiNal & especially yesterday's so called Maha-Episode which was MAHA-BAKWAAS for me, is adding to it...).

Suddenly, Keerti seems to have lost her MIDAS touch in the show (at-least for me & I'm sure people like me would be increasing very soon on this forum..) & hence I've posted this thread as
"All that glitters is not Gold!!"

Keerti Nagpure will remain to be a good actor for me but only for MARATHI shows!!!!! 🤣

So, last but not the least, "Keerti Nagpure should be replaced by other actress who is a match for Samir Soni!

@ Nidhi: Ha ha... Even, I know that Siddhi as Richa was not a wise statement from my part... but in order to make things bit funny in such a gloomy atmosphere of Parichay, had to write that... 😆

Whilst I'm not entirely partial to Keerti's acting skills, writing her off on account of her accent is un-called for. Her deviation from standard pronunciation has more to do do with her regional upbringing than it has to do with her acting skills or the lack thereof. It's also worth considering that for every city-slick person like you or me, that watches the show, there are scores more from the smaller towns/villages who are more likely to understand & relate to her "accent" than Sameer's.

Admittedly the diction could use improvement, but in all fairness, it might not have seemed so "unbearable" had the content & execution of the show itself been better. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the so called creative heads for having landed viewers in such a disgruntled state, that they resort to harping on trivialities.

Agree whole heartedly👏 This is the most fair critique of Keerti, her acting skills and her character that I have seen. Thank you for bringing some sanity to this other wise seriously biased forum 😆

I agree with Jheel, other than the accent why blame Keerti for doing what the script demands & so true, the accent & other trivial things become important only when we are dissed with the episodes.

Its the emotional atyachaar of the past week that has brought all this on, surely hope it ends now, honestly Siddhi's crying & muteness is way beyond logic.

Ditto

when u chose a career in acting you have to be perfect , if you r having a problem in accent , take classes , work hard but atleast try to improve

Raveena Vikram all r new comers yet they r so good in acting and also in accent

Keerti is below average actress and we notice her bad acting more bcz she is working with superb talented ppl like Samir, Sonia ( seema ) , Mona , Raveena , Vikram

and Show started in august...its been Six months and NO improvement

yes story wise its writer's fault but while cry scenes its Keerti who does those scenes ...she can't properly do cry scenes ...her tears r visibly glycerin ones ...her cry irritates me a lot now days bcz now in each and every episode she cries ... she is very bad at these ... cry scenes r not her forte

I am also from northern region of India and I don't relate to Sidhi's accent at all and she is playing the role of an north Indian girl from Mumbai...who definitely don't speak like that...we r not saying she has to match her accent to Sammer's but we r hoping that she neutralizes it and actors should try to not show that u belong to a particular region...and on of that when ur character doesnt hail from that region bcz otherwise it is hard to digest the character...look at Khushi she is a Parsi from Mumbai but man look at performance in IPKKND...she speaks Lucknowi Hindi like she is actually from there she has said in her interviews that it is hard for her to speak hindi like that but her dedication made it possible...but u r right...the script is also to be blamed that we look for too many negative points in her...
