Comedian Santhanam has three films lined up with his Siruthai co-star

It was Siruthai that brought actor Karthi and comedian Santhanam together on screen for the first time. The pair clicked right away and the huge success of the comedy sequences from the film, which are routinely played on TV even today, is a proof their electric chemistry.
Not surprisingly, Santhanam has been signed up to play the sidekick in all three of the actor's forthcoming films. Confirms the comedian, "I'll be doing three films with Karthi including the political satire Saguni, Suraaj's Alex Pandian and an untitled film with Boss Engira Baskaran director Rajesh. Our combination worked very well in Siruthai and you will find us continuing the same fine form in these films as well." The in-demand comedian has in fact become the go-to guy for most directors and top heroes. He is already a part of Gautham Menon's Neethaane En Ponvasantham and comedy specialist Sundar C's Masala Caf. And now, director Hari, who is known for his commercial blockbusters, has signed him up as the comedian for the sequel to his Singam. Interestingly, the film star's Karthi's brother Suriya in the lead. Now, will this become the hot new jodi in the industry? We'll have to wait and watch!
