from the relationship? Saif or Kareena?
Although Saif did manage to achieve some hits of his own, in the second decade of his career, he's always been known as the 'forgotten' Khan, despite of being in the industry for 20 plus years, he was never able to achieve the stardom and success of the other three Khan's or of Roshan or Kumar.
He's always been the forgotten one, the one behind., never quiet made the A list as far as success is concerned.
Kareena is someone who's always been hyped but unlike her beau she was always considered to be a big star even while giving huge flops, with Saif on her side, she now has a ''stable'' relationship to show off, Saif's media presence ever since hooking up with Kareena's increased immensly, albeit being known as the forgotten one earlier, his celebrity has increased now.

So what do you think? Who benefited from whom more?

Kareena from Saif or Saif from Kareena?

u know few years ago they once asked her father about her equation with Saif, poor dude said he's happy with anyone she chooses as he doesn't have much of a say, he said he's just happy to even be welcomed.
Babita is like the 60s Aishwarya except she was never that successful, but she's always been after money, fame, and attention, so even though Saif's so called title is useless, she doesn't care, for her even a useless title is better than no title šŸ˜†

Dont forget the girl you are talking about is daughter of Babita who was happy to get her first one married to another divorcee and then push her to revive her career and break up with her husband. Saif will seem like god's gift to them. Btw as per rumours on this board Kareena's mother even pimped Karishma so there!

Saif's title may not have any power but it has social standing in that part of India. Plus he has lots of money. Who wouldnt want that?
Coming to your original question I think any alliance between actors these days is a mutually beneficial relationship. It applies to all high profile relationships in recent times like Saifeena, Abhiash, JA-Bipasha.

Agreed. I think there are very few, if any, that I wouldn't place under "mutually beneficial relationship."

None of them in recent times atleast with high stakes involved in endorsements and charging for joint appearances. Added to that the benefit of having a readymade costar in times of need.

None.

Kareena doesn't need Saif's help and Saif is too proud to take Kareena's. Its a male dominated industry and even though Kareena might be a bigger star she doesn't have enough influence to help Saif, an already established star.

Shahid on the other hand is another story. He benefitted immensly from the relationship. Infact, I feel he's still here only because of his relationship with Kareena.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I never saw their relationship as where one benefits off the other. Saif's already an established actor, he has gotten his share of success despite being the rather "forgotten Khan." & Kareena has always been a star even when her films weren't doing so well..not to mention they both come from well known families.
