Ahem had just stepped out of the washroom with his towel as usual tied up just below his waist as Gopi hadn't taken out his clothes from the cupboard. Since he had long ago lost the habit of taking his clothes out from the cupboard, he had also forgotten what to wear and what not. And with the latest happenings, he seemed to be even a lost and forgetful case chanting her name all the time! But she was simply not responding the way he wanted her to. That day when he had got some dust in his eyes, he had thought that she would put her saree pallu on his eyes and blow hot air on it to make him feel better. But, poor he, all went in vain!
So today, as he stepped outside, in a hurry he slipped his towel down, as from the corner of his eye he had seen her entering the room. And there near the door, she was standing with the cup of hot smoking green tea. The same green tea because of which love of his life had started, now was going to play an important role in the consummation of their love.
But contrary to his thinking, tea was a live witness to this drastic, embarrassing moment of his life for her. How was she to know what was going on his mind! Desperate to see him like this but scared of him at the same time, she turned her back on him like a flash of the lightning! But what could be done now. The damage had been done. Now how could she face him. Yeah, he was wearing a vest and shorts but then he was not a like other normal boys. He was Ahem Modi, a big businessman who could not be seen in shorts, but just in those formals or expensive sherwaanis of his. That's exactly the reason why he never went for swimming as they didn't allow swimming with all the clothes on!
Now coming back to the "falling towel", all his efforts and respect he had built up in Gopi's eyes went for a toss! He had thought that his loving wife would come running to him to give him the towel and he would hug her and ...but she behaved as stupidly as she could ever. He could not think what to do now, where to hide and what to plunge into...he was dying of shame...because of the situation she had put him into. It felt as if he was wearing nothing! Now he has to make up with act in front of her. For now how could he stand there shamelessly, it would simply mean he's inviting her but he was still not brave enough to do so. For preserving his sanity, he noticed the curtains of his dear room and jumped to hide there.
While she was keeping the tea on the table with trembling hands with his favourite green tea spilling on the table. She's creating a mess, he thought! Now how would I clean it up? First she has put me in this mess whereas I had thought we both would mess up things...Two years already wasted, I wonder how much more time it will take for my pent up emotions to finally find their home.
As she was about to leave, he called her. "Gopi! Come here!" And tucked the sides of the curtains pretending not to reveal even one inch of his bare body! "Give me that towel lying on the floor." He thought why not give it a second chance. Maybe something happens now. As he could very well pick up the towel after she's gone but who cares. She won't realize all these things in her innocence.
Yeah as innocent as she was, she almost died of ecstacy on hearing her name! She couldn't believe her ears. As she very well remembered that once he was in the bathroom, and called for his mom, and how she took that opportunity and went near the door and gave him the towel, smiling and blushing inside. But nothing happened that day! Thank you Kanhaji for giving this second opportunity to me. And she ran at a lightning fast speed as if participating in Olympics and picked the towel and moved her hand towards him, looking at him from the corner of her eyes, waiting for some signal. He was feeling so nervous inside...yes I can do it! Today's the day...
Then suddenly they heard a frail voice coming from the corridor "Gopi vau! Where are you?"
"Mom is coming here...what to do...I should use this opportunity?" he muttered in confusion.
"If maaji sees this then...I have all the reasons to turn things to my favour..." Gopi thought.
While he pulled her inside the curtain, she rushed with the same force to hide behind the curtain.
And what do you want to know more now...simply they lived happily ever after.😆🤣
