I have gone through some posts which label ASR/Arnav as hateful, coward, equating him with Shyam(!!!), anticipating him to do marital rape, domestic violence and what not.

His guilt: the knee-jerk reaction to get married after watching Shyam and Khushi in tight embrace

The viewers who are hating Arnav/ASR with a strong vengeance were in love with the same character last week when he was presenting Khushi with the bangles/bindis/pattals! Isn't it the same kind of knee-jerk reaction from the viewers!😉 Think, introspect, reflect on your own reactions!!!! When you can put a guy from a high pedestal to a street road and maul the character in a span of few days then why blame ASR!!!!! Aren't you doing the same?!

Some posts saying Khushi has gone through so much, she also lost her parents like Arnav but has a positive attitude. Let us revisit the tragedy.
-Arnav was at a impressionable age of 15, when he lost his mother. And it was suicide, I think, result of treachery in love, so additional trauma. Seriously I can't even think myself in his position!!! On top of that brother-sister were thrown from their house and had to fend for themselves.
-Khushi was much younger maybe 7-8 years, still a kid, her parents died in an accident at least that is what she knows. She was soon adopted by Gupta family. Now tell me, who has gone through so much!!

The trauma experienced by both characters are different because of the nature of tragedy. Arnav forgot to smile that itself shows what has he gone through.

So before you hate the character and curse him to the dungeons, please understand him!😊

Don't worry, when Khushi will be bashed, I'll come up with a post for defending her too! I love both of them!😉

I would not touch the comparison of ASR's and Khushi's past sorrows with a 10 foot pole. The reason - each has suffered in their own way and has scars to show for it. We are not putting their respective sufferings on a competitive scale and declaring winners of worst sufferer. So lets not do that.

Yes, the forum was full of praises for ASR but buried in the fawning, there were enough voices that asked this question - Can khushi so easily forget the humiliation, choti-aukath dialogs and other slights ASR has showered on her and simply forgive ASR and fall in love with him? Of course, those voices never got heard in this forum because the ASR-cartel and the Khushi-cartel overtakes every bit of post space and comments leaving no room for dispassionate or impartial dialog.

There are those like me who feel both of them have enough flaws. That ASR is not better than Khushi and Khushi is no worse than ASR. Khushi's antics and childishness was lashed just as much as ASR's haughtiness and impudence. Why change now? What ASR is doing is not right by any dictionary, so why find reasons to justify him? What khushi did by hiding Shyam truth is highly questionable, why exonerate and make a Devi Maiyya out of her?

These are the things CVs dont want us to think because getting extreme reactions sells. and guess what? they succeeded.

Thanks for your comments, serialjunkie. Yes, they both suffered but certain sections of audience seem to forget that ASR has gone through the same trauma too if not more. Hence the mention.

Criticism is fine but one should not be overboard with enthusiasm in condemning a character as to imagine marital rape, violence, which has not even happened!!! And comparing ASR with Shyam ..God give me a break. If we stop giving such knee-jerk reactions and logically try to analyse the characters, based on what actually happened, it would be really nice!

Like you, I too feel that both of them have flaws and that makes it more interesting, more palatable!
