After being together for over a year, going through a bitter break up and then getting back to being friends, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone seem to be finding solace in each other's company once again.
"They were seen bonding at Rohit Dhawan's wedding party and were also spotted together in Los Angeles last week. Apart from that, they start shooting for Ayan Mukerji's film in Nainital in March. So, there is enough work to be discussed. Also, post her break-up with Sidhartha Mallya, Deepika has been quite lonely and she has always maintained that Ranbir is one of those few people who knows her the most," said a source.
The source added that there is little reason for them to not give it another shot. Deepika is single. Ranbir has never admitted to any relationship apart from the one with her. And apart from the 'cheating' bit she accused him of, they've had an amicable relationship.
Recently there were also reports that Ranbir is back with Katrina Kaif but the Kapoor lad has been mum about it. "Katrina and Ranbir were seeing each other for a while, but then nothing really worked out. They did not meet each other for months as both got busy with their projects. Ranbir was a little commitment phobic then that doesn't seem to have changed," added the source.
Despite being linked with numerous women including Nargis Fakhri, Ranbir has always kept in touch with Deepika, and made himself available whenever she needed him.
In an interview Ranbir had said, "Deepika has been a part of my life when I was growing up and we shared a beautiful relationship. I wouldn't like to stay away from her because we are not together." Deepika too was quoted saying, "We will always be friends."
Are they thinking of taking it to another level? The source said, "He has even visited her at her new apartment. Plus they know each other very closely. So there is little surprise that she is leaning on him at this point."
Ranbir's spokesperson however denied the story. Deepika and Ranbir were unavailable for comment.
