She knew he had powers, powers that were beyond her comprehension. And that he'd leave no stone untunred to get whatever he wants done from her. She had a strange idea about what he wanted from her, but all she could feel now was terror. Her mind, as always when she was around him, went blank, point blank. He stood the...re like he was assessing to whether hurt her or not, but one thing was sure, she was going to get what she threw on him, the powers on multifold basis.

He sensed her going still, knew the effect he had by his mere threats and his mere presence. He had an advantage over her, but this was battle she had called for and he sure was going to show her what her limits are and that He was beyond her reach. When he'd planned to capture her, he'd not known she would be so naive, innocent and sensitive. Her posture, her mind, her heart and her senses refected only one quality to him and that was 'soft'. She was soft, by nature, by posture, by words, by heart and by her mind. But he knew she had the lil wild streak in her. He'd seen that in the forest when she'd dared to stream her powers on him. But this was HIS land, and no amount of wild streak was going to work here.

A visible smirk on his face brought her out of the trance she'd been in. Without mere a thought she dashed for the weapons she'd seen in the dining room. What had made her go for such a stupid move, she did not know or understand, but it was an act of primitive self defence she guessed. She knew no amount of physical voilence was any threat to him for he seemed larger than life, than her, than the world she'd ever seen before. She came to understand that he was some kind of ultimate power here, or maybe in her world too, just that she'd not encountered him before.

As she held the knives gripped in her hands she paused a beat and went on to attack him. She was going to hit him thorugh and thorugh with whatever she had. But before she could take the second step, she was shadowed by fog. This fog, unlike others was white and had a blocking effect. It made her stand still, her eyes to close and her mind stop at the beat. This was some kind of strategy he'd thrown on her she knew and she was determined to break it apart. She called upon her wind element from the seat of her heart where it was resting, and tried to search a loophole in the warding he had put on her. It had to be some kind of warding, some sheet of blockage and she was searching for some kind of a tear or rip which she could escape from.

Karan felt her element seeking out in the air and was surprised at her intelligent move. All his life he'd battled with Gods and warriors of his own kind. Battling a Demi Goddess was new to him and he was getting used to her ways of using the powers. The battles had always been of gathering the power and hitting hard on the enemy but never of roaming around to sense the enemy's loopholes. He was thus amazed at her way of work. As a reply, he sent a wave of darkness to threaten her more as darkness was her worst of fears which he knew.

Shilpa found a rip in the middle of the fog and reacted immeadiately by pulling out a few more strands from her earthly magick and broke the fog apart. But even before she could think upon her victory she was caught off gaurd. With a speed not even the light had, he took her by her waist, hands folded back and mind numbbed. Pulling closer he whispered into the dark aura, seeming as if he was emitting the darkness from his words.

"Escaping so soon you poor little Demi goddess? I must say you know how to use your mind" he gave her that lil sarcastic appraise.

Gasping at the intimacy, she calmed her drumming heart and told her mind to awake from numbness. But none of it worked. She always seemed to get into his arms, his masculine yet dready arms every time she tried to get away. And by now she knew that pushing away would be of no use as she'd only get pulled in more, the thought of which sent shivers down her spine. She sensed his grip easing and she flew out of his hold that very moment and grasped the sword kept aside in a swift movement. She had not been a fighter but she knew atleast this much, afterall she was a princess.

He laughed at her naivet. "Do you really seem to think that petty little sword of yours in that soft and weak arms would have an effect on me? I think it wont hurt a mosquito. You need to act strategicaly if you want to even stand before me here, let alone waging a battle" His rusty laugh surrounded the place and she saw the sword in her hand turn to ashes. He saw her hand remain where it was because of the sudden realisation. But then he saw the determination on her face and smiled, a devilish one.

Shilpa had no choice now. Physical attack was a waste on him and all she could was with her powers. Strategy was what he'd told her she needed, then fine, she'd be startegical now. She knew he had an irritation for her elements of brightness and fragrance. But she doubted if it would have any effect in this world. Nevertheless she called in for a few threads of brightness filled with hope and some strands of fragrance and love, woved it into a seemingly powerful yet beauiful arrow and aimed at him with full force. A second after she sent that she feared it would be less and took out wind from her heart seat hard and fast and sent it as a forcing sheild to the arrow. And waited for the result.

All combined, Karan sensed something that irritated him very much forcing its way towards him, at a tremendous speed. The thought of that mere lil goddess waging such an attack distracted him and he was caught off gaurd with the elements he hated the most. He shut his eyes closed. With swift wave of his left hand he threw the powers down to the surface.

He gave her a devilish yet amused smile and moved forward, this time very slowly. Both Shilpa and Karan knew what his slowness meant and delivered. With perfectly smooth strides, he covered the distance between them in slow motion, just like teasing her. She knew this was his way of intimidating her. But she remained powerless under his strong and straight gaze and his commanding steps towards her. Shilpa now on fulltime fear gathered whatever came in her mind from the power seat of her heart and threw them all together with whatever force she could muster. It was immature, powerfull but scattered and hence she knew it wont do any good.

Karan dodged the attack by a slight movement of his shoulders like dodging a bullet in slow motion. Everything seemed slow motion and torcherous. Ever step meant something inevitable waiting at the end and Shilpa backed as far as she could and before hitting the wall, she did something she thought was venting out and irrelavent but which had an effect on Karan. She untied her long flowing hair off the flower garland that secured her hair into a beautiful hairdo. The mere act of frustrated sigh, had Karan stiffening. It was the fragrance, the power her fragrance had on him. Her hair came untied, flowing like a waterfall just released off a dam. And for a moment he was mesmerised. He was guessing it to be another one of her immature attacks but this unconcious act on her part had an effect bigger than all others combined.

Shilpa saw him stiffen for a mili second, amused in the other and then with a ease in his hands and rigidness in his jaws, he pulled her towards him through his powers. Everything happened in a swirl of actions. The powers touched her, made her wince by their intensity, surrounding her waist the powers tied her on a rope of magick and took her towards him. And although this was an act done in a second, she felt as if it had a million seconds to it. She saw his victorious smile, his seductive yet raging eyes waiting for her to reach him, his hands merely gripping the powers and his posture filled with darkness and hotness.

As soon as she reached where the powers took her, he gave her a mysterious smile, as if telling her whats in store for her is what is not something in her favour. She felt him take her in by her waist yet again, his hands on her chest, and his eyes deepened the eye lock and his mouth carved into a smirk at the same time.

And then she felt something that she'd never dreamt of. Her powers were sucked off her like from a magnetic source which was in his hands. Her eyes widened, too astonished and stuck to react she saw her powers being drained off her seat and within a second she felt empty. Her powers were gone. Her seat left empty and she felt powerless, inexistent and naked. The powers had been her clothing and now it had been sucked off. Sadness crossed her now empty heart as he spoke his devilish words looking straight in her eyes,

"Well now Demi Goddess, that was a nice attempt, but who do you think shall save you now?" victory laugh roared all over the air as she felt helpless and fearsome of what he could do to her now.
