If Lavanya was having an affair with Shyam?

I don't think he would have reacted the same way... I think somewhere deep within his conscious...even now, he realizes that he's doing this to protect Khushi because he truly loves her... Something that would be missing if Lavanya was in Khushi's place...

yes i agree ! he wouldnt have married lavanya or reacted the way he did and then he'd only need to think of his di but becouse it's khushi he has to consider himself and his love for her !

In my opinion NO. He would have been more resourceful and found some other solution to save his Di's marriage without having to sacrifice his freedom and compromise his beliefs.

That makes me think that he did not marry Khushi solely to save his sister's marriage but also for the emotions he feels for her. Yes, a part of him married Khushi so to save his sister's marriage and keep Shyam tied to his sister, BUT a part of him also married Khushi, so she would be tied to him and not belong to anybody else. He probably would not be able to digest the fact of Khushi with another man...

Anybody else share my opinion...

If Lavanya was there, he would heard the entire conversation and beaten Shyam to pulp. Only because it is Kushi, and only because her tears will increase TRPs, he only heard half the conversation and jumped to conclusions and decided to hurt Kushi.

If you guys remember the last lines that echo when we see his blood shot eyes are Shyam's dislougurs saying that rani sshiba is between them!

Definitely. He can't bear Khushi with anyone but him. Why do you think he didn't confront her about Shyam? He can't bear to hear from her own mouth that she loves someone else. He could have sent her away, bribed her, whatever. Marriage? Which he himself doesn't believe in. I don't know why they picked 6 months, but I guess its a nice round number, and these CVs are not so special. What they should have said was 3 months and then give us that in real time. They won't stay on SP 6 months with the low TRPs they'll get if they drag this hate track out. Whatever the case, deep down he can't let go of Khushi no matter what he says.

yeah...I dont think punishing khushi is his goal or he would have suggested a live in or blamed her for eloping in front of their families...

Yes behind all the drama is his love which has triggered him to marry her; he can't take it that she is being looked at by someone else - its more for himself than it is for his di x
