If you have been missing Ali Merchant on screen, then your wait is over. Ali is soon going to be seen Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Interestingly, Ali had been playing an important role in the show as Rituraj, Naitik's sister husband, but his track has been missing for some time now.

When asked about this latest development, Ali said that he is very happy that he is coming back to Star Plus' hit show. He treats the production team as his family and loves to work with the show's director, Rajan Shahi. He will start shooting from Tuesday, 14th February.

Apart from Yeh Rishta…, Ali was also seen in Looteri Dulhan, a short lived show on Imagine. He also hosted the Gladrags shows and spent his time managing his father's business.
Talking about his character, Ali said that his character is in complete contrast to Naitik. Naitik is very emotional, while Ali's character is a practical man. Just like every time Rituraj enters the story, his re-entry will spark a competition between Naitik and Rituraj.

When asked about his Valentine's Day plans, Ali confessed that he is a single man and is currently focusing on his career.
