Part 5 :
As he realized what it was, he decided not to turn and stood there, near the door, looking for a way to go out, yet he couldn't bring himself to knock and let people know he was in there. Maybe he did want to stay there and talk to her, ask her why is she doing this, why she is leaving him, he wanted to ask so many questions, yet words were not coming from his mouth.
"Rey" she said in her soft voice.
He rested his head on the door and took a deep breath. Her voice was enough to make his heart miss a beat.
"Aap kuch bolenge nahi" Kria asked, her voice low.
"Is there anything to ask Kria?" Rey asked smiling, still noot looking at her. "I think I know enough."
"Rey, please, once look at me. Please once..." she said in a pleading voice.
He could not deny her. He let out a breath and turned around slowly.
As he turned around, he saw her smiling face, but with a pain in her eyes. And when he looked at her fully, he saw her dressed in the same attire, the same dress that she wore when he first met her at the masquerade dance.
"Do you remember, the first time we met?" Kria said in a happy voice.
Rey smiled, lost in the memory of their first meet. The challenge, then her dance, looking in her eyes, and he knew he has lost, lost to love.
"At that time, I lied to my mom that I was there to enjoy the party, and would not dance."
Rey was confused, Kria did not want to dance, but then she did.
"I know what you are thinking, but before you say anything, please let me complete it. My mom never wanted me to dance. She never gave me a reason. But I love dancing, love it to that extent that I was ready to lie to her."
Rey moved away from the door and came near the window of the room, stood there looking outside.
"When I came to Mumbai, I had no intention to dance, but seems like fate had other plans for me. We formed Weaklings and then Footloose happened."
Rey interrupted her and said, "Why are you telling me this now. There is no need."
"There is. You are my friend and an important part of my life and..."
Rey just laughed and said, "Yeah, such an important part that I came to know about you going away from others. You did not even bother to tell me."
"Rey, please, don't say that..." Kria said tears brimming in her eyes.
Rey, himself was choked up with emotions. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he said, "It is the truth right."
"No Rey, it is not," she wiped away her tears and continued, "Did you ever think how I feel, how much I wanted to say all that to you, how I felt when I made the decision to go away from here, tell me Ray did you ever think about it," she moved forward towards Rey.
Rey knew what she said is correct, but right now he was no thinking clearly. He only knew one thing that Kria is going away. He said, "But you did take a decision, of going away."
Kria took a deep breath to control her emotions and continued, "It was not an easy one to take. You know Rey, dance is everything to me, and for the first time my mom gave me time to prove it, prove what dance means to me, prove that this is what I want, prove that she did not make a wrong decision in trusting me again, and I knew what I had to do."
Rey turned and looked in her eyes and asked "Why?"
Kria understood what he wanted to know, that why did she choose New York. She answered, "I had to. Rather I wanted to." and smiled.
Rey was surprised when she said that. It meant that she deliberately chose New York. He asked, "You mean, you wanted to go far away from here, from all of us, from me" all frustrated.
Kria knew this was coming, and she had to answer him, but now she was at a loss of words, "You know Rey that Dance is my Passion. I always say that I want Dance to become my Life, to become my Identity and this will happen only when surrender myself to dance and this is my opportunity to do so."
She continued, "Main hamesha se chahti thi ki dance ban jaye meri pehchaan and for the first time I feel like I can achieve this."
Rey looked at her and realized that he was no where in her dreams, that it was only dance that she wanted. He did not exist for her. He sadly said, "Well then, all the best. There is nothing left." and started to walk towards the door.
As he passed Kria, she grabbed hold of his hand and said, "Rey, will you not give me a farewell present?"
Rey was heartbroken. For the first time he wanted to cry out loud, tell her not to go, tell her that he loves her. And when she said about her farewell present, it was like someone has pierced a needle in his heart. It hurt, it hurts badly, but like every other time, he knew he can never say no to her.
He put his head back so that the tears which were swimming in his eyes would not make their way down. He then asked in a low voice, "What do you want?"
Kria smiled with her tears and said "Please dance with me, as it is my Last Goodbye to you, please."
He just nodded his head and turned around. He looked at her and saw the same emotions shining in her eyes as in his.
A beautiful song played in the background, singing their feelings which they were not able to voice out.

He placed his hand on her waist and other hand laced with her hand, while they moved slowly to the song.

He looked in her eyes, expressing what he was feeling, looking in her eyes a place for him, a place where they would be together and where there would be no goodbyes.

They both swayed slowly to the beats of the song. They knew this is the end, this might be their last time together.

Aur kho gai hai manzil kahin rahon mein
Kria rested her head on his chest listening to his heartbeats. She felt peaceful.

Chumti o rehete hai hum har baat pe
Kehti hain fiza jahan
Teri zaameen aasman
Jahan hai tu
Meri hasi meri khushi
Meri jaan
They both knew what they were feeling. Rey cupped her face, slowly bend down to capture her lips. It was the first time they kissed. It was not a kiss of passion, it was a kiss of love, a kiss of going away from love, a kiss of separation, a kiss that would remain in their hearts forever.

They parted from the kiss.
Rey now knew what Kria felt for him. he knew that this is the time to, maybe, give words to their feelings.
He looked at her and said, "Kria, I Lo..."
Before he could complete, Kria interrupted him and said, "Please Rey, please don't. Let the words remain unspoken. It will become more difficult. " and she hugged him.
Rey knew what she meant. He just hugged her back with all his might. He wanted to capture this moment. He wanted to capture in his heart, THE LAST GOODBYE...
4 days later, Kria left for New York, to fulfill her dream of dancing, but not before gaining the trust of her mom😳 who now supported her and is even thinking of moving there to be with her daughter.
All her friends came to Airport to bid her farewell, Rey did not come, and she knew he will not. But he was there, hiding from her, looking at her.
