a sure case of an inferiority complex...he's more than deserving to be with nupur...i dunno where he gets off thinking she's some sort of a princess (i love her but she's just a normal person--no one has a "special" or "royal" status)...i cant wait for their relationship to get really serious 😃...but thats definitely going to require nupur to express to mayank that what she feels is not just a fleeting emotion...i think mayank is just too scared right now because he doesn't know if what he would be fighting for is something that actually has a future

Chapter # 17

"I am leaving samrat", Mayank took his books and announced to a rather half asleep samrat, and expecting nothing more than a nod, he was shocked when samrat jumped up from the bed, "you are going to nupur's place?", his eyes were popping out, and his tone made mayank skeptical.

"what is it to be so shocked off?, I go to nupur's place daily at this time", he glared, but grinning, samrat got down from the bed, "yeah, well, now u want to say that today it's everything as daily?, nothing changed?", he winked and the urge mayank was having to frown was fulfilled.

"don't make me regret that I shared", he said in a cold voice and turned to the door when samrat held his hand, "will you relax!, Mr frowning!", this time Samrat glared and made him sit,

"what is it samrat, I am ..

"relax!!", Samrat cut him and sat beside him, "see last night we didn't talk, and the whole day we didn't get a chance, we need to talk before you go to her place!, you have kissed her damnit!", Samrat looked at him helplessly, as if trying to make him realize the intensity of the situation and Mayank sighed, "no need to remind me!, I haven't forgotten it even for a second!",

"yeah , well, then it seems you really enjoyed", Samrat grinned again and this time Mayank got up, "you have lost it samrat!", he turned to leave quickly but stopped at the door, "thank u for the concern samrat, but I don't think I want to talk, I'll tell you what would happen".

Saying this he left, leaving a frowning Samrat

Nupur had rejected the 10^th dress and was thinking of rejecting this 11^th dress she was currently wearing. "not nice haina?", she pouted and looked at gunjan who gave her a helpless look, "I don't know!, if you change this dress then I am leaving!", Gunjan huffed and nupur giggled, "yeah right leaving!, tell me na is okay or not", she was still pouting and Gunjan was thinking of how to tell her that she was indeed looking like a princess in all these ten dresses and will look like a princess in all the other bundle of dresses spread on her bed.

"You look beautiful nupur", gunjan smiled sincerely and Nupur took a deep breath, and her smile told gunjan that finally the dress was decided.

Mayank took his routine bus, formulating ways to talk to her and chalking out the way he is going to carry on with the relation further on. It is not going to be easy, because he had no idea what to do, or how to even look in those bewitching eyes.

Nupur was finally ready after a lot of cribbing and frowning, and after all this when she saw the mirror, she saw her hard work paid off. Dressed in a baby pink knee length informal skirt, her hair were curled from the ends and eyes lightly outlined with eye pencil, minimal make up with light pink blush on too highlight her cheeks and lips shining with a light gloss.

A shy smile graced her face when she thought about her lips; they were locked in a heavenly bliss yesterday, a bliss which made her glow within.

Taking a deep breath, and observing the red flush on her cheeks, she looked at the time and it was 5.50 ' he could be there any moment.

Mayank was walking down the street leading to her home, still his mind totally blank over what he would say and how he would behave. Never on his life he had been in such a dilemma,, in such a confusion. It was worse than hell!, Why did he ever let his emotions take him over, only if he would have caught hold of his senses and controlled himself for that moment, only if he would have NOT kissed her!.

He sighed as he got a hard rejection from his heart.

He didn't regret kissing, he regrets that why does he has to regret kissing.

Nupur was nervously drawing circles of the table with the tip of her nail, the expansive Italian polish being corroded off very heartlessly under her nails, she was avoiding the clock. Every passing second made her more anxious, more nervous - every passing second made her blush even more.

She was smiling and dreaming of his arrival, when a knock on the door made her raise her head.

He was there, there eyes locked in a fraction of a second.

They both looked at each other ' shyness and hesitation at it's peak. It was pride and regret at its height. It was love at it's brink.
