Just a brief recap of what took place the last 3 days:
Jai got arrested after Pawni made her complaint, and everyone in the Poddar household are on tenterhooks as usual. Shikha, as usual, blames Sarika for bringing in Pawni so that she herself could study.
Sarika met Jai in jail, and assured him that she'd get him out, and was mocked by a guard. After that, Pawni confronted her and asked her to stand by the truth. While leaving, Sarika was confronted by the press, but she told them that Jai was still only a suspect, not guilty, and his innocence would be established in court.
Later, Sarka came home & broke down, & was comforted by Maasa & others. Sarika then went upstairs & called her mother to find out more about Pawni.
At the courtroom, the prosecution pulls out all the evidence about Jai, including injury marks on his head that matched the marks on a trophy used by Pawni to hurt him. Pawni was cross-examined, and the defense requests an extension so that they can prepare their defense. Judge tells them they will reconvene on Feb 13.
After the courtroom drama, Guttan - the guy who worked w/ Jai in the canteen, met her and told her that Jai was w/ him the night of the incident. Sarika arranges a meeting w/ him & the lawyer, and Guttan tells him that Jai had welcomed 4 friends, in addition to Guttan, and they were having a party. Jai declined to have any alcohol, and just wanted a coke, but one of them spiked his coke. Later, the lights went out, and Jai went to check the fuse. That was the last that Guttan saw of him, and the next day, they heard this news of his arrest.
Sarika met Jai in his cell, and asked him to recall the incidents. Jai could barely remember much, but did remember that he had some of his friends, then he went into the fuse room when the lights went out, and was hit on the head. When he regained consciousness, he saw police in front of him arresting him for attempted molestation.
Next day, Sarika does her usual pujas, and tells Maasa that she's going out somewhere so that she can save Jai, and requests her not to ask her where. Maasa agrees. Sarika goes out and calls Guttan and asks him to meet her somewhere and drop her @ the bus stand, so that she can visit Pawni's village and find out more about her. He agrees to meet her next day @ 7am. Sarika resolves to find out the truth about Pawni.
