Kuldip Manak is Well Known Folk Punjabi Singer, very much respected in Punjabi Music...

Surjit Bindrakhia was an up and coming star when I was a child his "sangdi sagaondi ni main giddhe vich vadi" was a huge

Also the song by Hans Raj hans called "Telephone" was also a huge success as back then not many people had telephones in their homes in punjab, I remember our house being one of the 1st to get a phone so the whole pind would come over to chat with their families lol.
