Athough Karan was always a good son, both towards Mandira ( before he came to know the truth) and to Tulsi, I find him doing a miserable job as a father. In yesterday's episode although he scolded Manthan for the right reason,I find him equally responsible for Manthan's behavior and character today. It is him who always boasts to Saahil about how rich he is, when Nakul and Manthan fight over money matters even then he will never support Nakul even though he is Ganga's son and never the one to start it. But suddenly when Manthan continues the same behavior with others, it causes him shame. I am sorry but all those who think that it is Tanya's fault that Manthan is like this are wrong. Even if Nandini had been there, Karan's behavior due to his success would be the same and for Manthan the role model he has presented would be the same.
Also it was heartbreaking to see a son having so little faith in his father in regards to his mother. Tanya is a blind fool for putting up with Karan for so long. She should have taken Manthan and got out. As it is she and Manthan are secondary to Karan. Bhoomi too left Baa in Haridwar and Baa had to ask KT for help but even then she gets the good dresses and all praises for not creating trouble from Karan as she is Nandini's daughter. Atleast Tanya is true when she says that she does not differentiate between her children.
But Karan has always been this way. He always find a scapegoat for his problems first it was Mihir. When he entered the show he never once questioned his father trying to understand why his father has left him. Instead just listening to mandira's words he tried destroying him. When he knew the truth and realized Tulsi's worth he became devoted to her to an extent that he is blind to her faults. Karan loved his mother a lot, but does it mean that he is the first son to do so. Mihir too loved his mother and Tulsi should have shared her condition before taking such a step. Also none of them ever took Mihir in confidence regarding Meera, so Mihir's behavior wasn't out of line when he was angry with her. But that never meant that he wanted Tulsi dead and hasn't mourned like the rest of them or maybe more. But no, to Karan he is responsible. And now to him Tanya is also the scapegoat for his problems. She isn't a good mother. a good wife, a good daughter in law. Really he should come in open and say the words. She is not Nandini, so that she gets a closure and moves on.
