Arnav restlessly pacing his room we've seen many times before, there's an agitation which alway surrounds him regarding one person...Khushi.
He regretted not consoling her when she had hugged him after her father was admitted to hospital, he'd hated himself when he'd failed to drop her home safely, he nervously paced his room after tying a bandage to her bleeding finger, the same blood he was shocked to see speckled his own skin, the circumstances when he found out she was engaged to another man were torturous...but it was a whole lot worse when he had thought he'd lost her forever.
The restlessness is different today, it has the same tinge of confusion and disturbance that is present in all the prior said events...but there's a maturity about it, an understanding, an acceptance.
As Arnav dwells on how he had selflessly chased the ambulance thinking Khushi was inside, as if his life counted on it, he immediately strings it to her questions, "Why do you care?" And his incomplete answer lingers on in his mind. Closing his eyes, his sister's words echo back at him...when that girl comes into your life...and the mere thought of not having her "Tumhari saansein hi rukh jayengi".
Essentially, he has an explanation to his behaviour...Anjali's otherwise informal statement comes back as a lesson for Arnav today.
This scene between the two was simply beautiful, it had an innocence about it, two people who've connected in a way which they never expected...it was so unexpected that they never knew when everything changed. As they try and decipher the other, Arnav looks at his reflection in the window, trying to recognise who this man is standing before him now, facial features assure him he's still the same guy...only a twinkle in his eye sets his heart beating rapidly...dhak dhak, dhak dhak...he looks down perplexed.
Personal note-so here I was like đ˛STFU...it's quite a revelation for ASR, when his heart skips skips skips skips skips skips skips ...a beat ( courtesy of Olly Murs Ft. Rizzle Kicks) or infact one two many, then you know somethings not quite right đ
2) Anyone else reminded of the Grinch? Especially the Jim Carrey version where his heart grows two sizes two big because of his new found love for Christmas đ The same, our Mr. Grinch has finally acknowledged something for Miss Chamkili!
The way he whispered her name, like a sublime truth was ultimate killer-he's still confused but again it's the same "link" that he's threading together, another piece to the puzzle.
As cheesy as it was, I'm sold. The way Khushi was pained as her own heartbeat raced was bitter sweet...immediately Arnav came to mind.
Khushi had already been enlightened, the first time she experienced increasing heart palpatations, she'd put it to an ailment of some kind đ but her confidence in her relationship with Arnav and what they share is increasing, her demands for an answer behind the choodiyan. I adore how she knows how to work him, what questions to ask, the teasing gestures, hiding her wrists under her dupatta before she comes down the stairs because she knows he'll be looking out for them...Sure he gives mixed singals with his angry young man nature, but admittance of any kind is always a good start to some sort of recognition đł As she's shown contemplating Arnav's behaviour, deep down it's obvious she knows the answer. Her questions hit the nail on the head
* Why was he so angry and so caring towards me?
*And him buying these bangles for me?
She again reiterates in her mind that it's Arnav, and a reality hits her- if someone had told her the guy would have bought choodiyan for her, she'd probably laugh her head off. Elated by the thought as she touches and plays with the jingling offering joyfully...it's a child like immaturity that makes her such a delight to watch. She's just like any other girl with dreams of a prince, a small gesture is enough but especially when it's from a person you didn't think had it in him to be nice. Note how Arnav's behaviour isn't scaring her anymore, where there was an unknown fear in her eyes, now instead there is a welcoming acknowledgement.
Personal note-Did anyone else feel a different side as Khushi stood with the choodiyan on the wrists of hands filled with mehndi? She was always an independent woman but with this avatar...she seemed so complete in her little world today.
Personal note numero duo-Sanaya looked gorgeous in today's episode, the turqoise colour and billowing hair was apt for the dreamy scenario and later even a casual half bun couldn't mellow down how stunning she is, if anything it just showed how she can work any look without trying. A person who doesn't need that much make up anyway...she's a beauty au natural đ
