Hi all,
Unfortunately due to what has been happening on the forum lately we felt there was a need for such a post. This forum has always prided itself on the facts that not only were we all passionate about the show, we all were friends too. The Ka section has always been a place where friends come and discuss their likes and dislikes.
But lately this forum seems to resemble more of a playground then a platform for discussion. We havn't all agreed in the past, with various plots in the storyline nor have we always agreed as to our likes of each and every actor or character. But there was always a respect that was present, now its all the more obvious that people no longer consider other peoples feelings and there seems to be some kind of battle raging of comparing the actors in the show. Slowly the divide between the forum members has become clearer and also wider.
This is a plea for each and every person who visits this forum, to please care of a few certain things. First and foremost 'freedom of speech' we are all encouraged to put forward our views, but this needs to be done in a way which does not deliberately provoke others or is insensitive. There is the quote "I don't agree with a word you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" (Voltaire) I totally agree with it, there will be times when we disagree with each other but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be able to express our views. Its all about respect, the moment people forget that others views count we have trouble.
I have noticed on more then one occasion that there are some people who wish to compare the actors in the show- this is all well and fine if we are discussing them as characters but the moment people bring the actors into it- the long and tedious debate again rages as to who is better .We are all different, we should embrace that, instead of continuing to compare two very different actors who are both talented in their own right. Any posts which deliberately provoke others and contain degoratory comments about actors will not be tolerated at all.
Most people watch serials for a little bit of escapism, but these days it seems these serials have over taken our lives, good or bad who knows…but the fact remains this is all entertainment and we should take it as thus- there are far more important things in life then fighting over the going on's in a serial.
Whether we agree or disagree, and ultimately whether you agree or disagree with what I have said all comes down to personal choice. At the end of the day life is too short for us to be engaging in such quarrels, as some one once rightly said United we stand Divided we fall…
