For some reason I thought I uploaded the vids for yesterday - but apparently not. So here go:

This is how GK enter a cliche scene and make it a charged space of their own! Such a complete package this GK scene was - with the whole flowers vs lights debate which is oh-so-endearing, and then the whole 'our eyes hold conversations of their own unbeknownst to us' scene - eeeh!
Everytime I watch this scene I'm reminded of the Satrangi Re VM Reemz made with it, and the lyrics over this part which fit it ideally!
"aankhon ne kuch aisa chuhaa
halka sa ik uns hua, halka halka uns hua
dil ko... mehsoos hua...!"
ps:Kept that teeny bit in the beginning where K tries to safeguard for G, but should have known better than to keep her jumping at the slightest chance of 'sacrifice' -_-
So anyway, this scene on Hiba's request... I re-downloaded the clip from Star Player, but YT still refuses to retain quality for it :| :| Sorry about that!

The following two scenes I uploaded together primarily for comparison. Comparison of the one time each that Gulaal and Kesar told the other respectively that they would stay out of sight and life of the other - if that is what happiness takes. And the reactions of of both in their respective scenes were of deep remorse at a wrong they just had to make right!

For someone who wanted to defeat her as badly as he did, for as long as a decade - it takes but a moment of submission and defeat from G to to turn the tables upon K. Suddenly it doesn't matter that his point is proven, that he has gotten the ever-righteous G to concede her fault and apologize - it only matters that he has broken a broken woman all over again. And that failure is unbearable.

Nothing said about this scene, is said enough. One of the most powerfully written scenes - although I end up saying that every now and then. But there's a whole bunch of consequential dialogues in here:
"Tu meri har chiz ko tarazu main naapti hai, jahan main thoda hu ya zada, par hu main humesha galat"
"Khot mere mann mein nahin, teri soch mein hai"
"Main tujhse pyaar karta hun, ye baat mujhse zada tere mann mein rehti hai har waqt."
And lo, Gulaal has her moment of blinding brightness, which finally, finally begins to penetrate through the impenetrably dark blinders of a decade and plus. As I've said before in the pondside confrontation - I think the most commendable part of Kesar's evolution in this scene is that unlike Gulaal he can rise beyond a sense of offense in being wrongly accused and answer questions, even if it means having to justify his pure intentions. Since when I first saw this scene, I have always wondered the extent to which Kesar has saved them both further heartache and complication by putting aside his hurt and offense and clarifying the situation. He too, like Gulaal, could have chosen to go with a simple - meri neeyat par shaq mat kar and tujhe koi haq ni hai mujhe aise sawaal karne ka - and let the matter rot away and wat away at them both. But unlike her, he chose to answer, he chose to justify himself, and indirectly resolved a huge conflict that could have been!
And this is not to distinguish between Kesar's right and Gulaal's wrong - but even more to sort of point out this distinction in their characters. Upto this point, within Gulaal still lingered a hold of that old Gulaal who was a guardian to this boy turned man before her. A fact that in some way did not obligate her to explain herself, but obligated him to do it anyway. It was after this revelation, that Kesar finally rose in her eyes as an equal. There were incidents hereafter, where Gulaal revised her previous ways and chose to explain herself like Kesar did here. Say that moment after the menu fight for Kulli's engagement? When JK wants Gulaal to accompany Kesar and she refuses? The way she explains her reasons to him, once they are alone in their room - is not something Gulaal would have done before this showdown.
So in the obvious, and in the subtly nuanced ways, this scene is like a beginning to a new chapter in their life, where finally, Gulaal and Kesar are on equal pedestals - even in Gulaal's eyes! It is only past this incident that she also finally stops patronizing him in a perpetual manner - and its interesting that she doesn't consciously keep herself from it, but its a transition that comes reflexively in response to her conscious acceptance of him as a grown up equal.

Scene upload request - do leme know. (Hiba, I'll do that one you asked for yesterday in a while)
And I'm terribly, sheepishly sorry about still not having updated. I got stuck towards the end. Something in conflict with the file I lost and re-writing it. So I took a day off to try and forget the old one and do this like a fresh thing. Aaj to pukka, pukka!
