Gauri needs friends and people to say good things about her too. Her entire life has been spent in the shadow of someone the world raved over and could see no wrong in. It didn't matter who or or what the man was at home but people wanted a god-man and----tag----he was it!
She knew the real person.
Now he's going mad for a girl who is still seeing him in the haze of fanish stardust and doing it in front of a public that is only too full of really ignorant looks-struck idiots who are all too willing to see his affair with Priyanka as some sort of movie love story with two really good looking leads.
They base Priyanka's worthiness to have Shahrukh on how she LOOKS and are all to willing to cast Gauri in the dirt.

I can't even imagine how Gauri must feel but just think how your average looking mothers would feel if some girl who was getting lauds for her "glamour" and the fact that she has the body of a woman who has never carried a child to term, a body which she has the time and interest to hone and tone endlessly in the gym came after your fathers and those men started spending every moment with that girl or raving about her.
Would the girl be some wonder creature and the culmination of a glorious love story with your dad simply because, by society's standards of physical beauty, she was "prettier" than your mother?
If Hrithik is saying good things about Gauri I'm glad. That poor woman must be in a special kind of hell reserved for people whose humiliation is made obvious to a salivating world.
