something wrong with the show

something is wrong with this show- as they show evil and wickedness getting an upper hand- for example how come Kinjal did not find out that Urmi had cheated her by changing the ticket and it is unfair to show a wicked act becoming successful; similarly the CVs could not show Gopi's birthday begin celebrated in a mature adult like manner and had stupid baby programs and no gifts for her from Ahem- and for Rashi it is shown in a mature adult like manner; agreed the kids brought he cake which got misunderstood as a birthday token, blah, blah but they did not show the birthday being taken to another platform of adults celebrating. it was carom and balloons and cartoon characters ( Koki's revenge !!).
This show does not take up the social cause it aims to project to a new, more mature treatment- such as Gopi 's abuse by Urmi being brought out into the public, or Gopi's education being taken to a new finish line ( my, my, Gopi is able to say antiseptic after doing Grade One), or even animal ill-treatment or husband abuse ( that Koki indulges in ) or abuse of children ( again Koki is a prime example). It is mindless episodes being shown- The only attraction to see the show is Gopi who we expect will be shown as grwoing into a confident and educated lady- with critical thinking skills and is smart to judge people, but no- the show is hell bent on showing her being good to the point of being incapable of judging- how does on change a person with love and love only without the capacity to point out to the person, here Rashi how wrong she has been and help her go through a period of genuine guilt, confession and then conversion.

In most shows, to make the story line going evil usually wins in the first followed by good, albeit a little late. In saathiya, it is taking time, but I they are slowly showing that the evil of Urmi, Rashi and Kinjal will not win in the end..
Although Rashi is yet to suffer for everything she did, I am still hoping that the story will continue in such a way that Rashi finds it difficult to gain the trust she lost from her husband. Something that forms the crux of this story - A true saathiya.. Jigar will not be ready to be that person for a while yet.

This lottery fiasco, hopefully is going to end with Urmis fall from the top when she either loses all the money or spends it and then finds that she is yet to pay the agent. Hopefully Urmi has to again go back to begging from the Modi's and they will show Koki's contempt for her behavior. It looks like she won now but this is just the beginning of the fall

Kinjal is a shrew and she is already getting what she first deserved. She is now living in a middle class house and a middle class life that she found so abhorrent.

As for the B'Day party, I think Gopi's was a impromptu one. Also her friends were kids. Hence the kid party. It was good for Gopi because I do not think she could have handled an actual party like what Rashi is gonna get. She was still traumatized by Rashi's words about her parent's death. That party made up for the years of no B'Day celebrations for Gopi

FInally, not all the above are just punishments. Urmi needs to suffer and so does Rashi and Kinjal. The part they played in separating Ahem and Gopi needs to come out. Hopefully, it will one day and that is what keeps us hooked to the TV set..

Agree with your comments- The CVs hope we read it the way you have mentioned- but Gopi is shown as incapable of judging people- there are innumerable abused and illiterate people who just do not behave the way she is shown and they are smart though abused. Her portrayal is silly. And the birthday, though impromptu, it was shown in a childish manner gopi is an adult and though arranged at home it could have been shown as a better organised program ( remember Koki chiding Gopi on Ahem's birthday) she deserved better. I feel Rashi gets more screen space without the rightful treatment and that sends the wrong message to viewers; it a twisted show that is portraying old fashioned views about women as submissive and stupid ( like Hetal ) or is showing a wrong view of women- strong but abusive as is Koki .

WOW!!! Couldn't have said it better myself...well said and well described. Urmi, Kinjal and Rashi need to be brought down from the high horse they are riding on...I think once Ahem and Gopi finally become a real couple Ahem will slowly teach Gopi the reality of how to read people and their real intentions. Gopi right now has always had to do right by Urmi and Rashi...so that is all she knows how to do. But that is why she has a MIL like Koki and a husband like Ahem who will stand by here no matter what!

While I agree that the show is aiming to show these characters as wicked finally, it is a daily let down on the portrayal of women as not intelligent and as shrewish or stupid. Unfortunately, the show is so slow in the intelligent portrayal of women of present day- the show is different and is aiming to portray a good story- that of an orphan girl who desires love and relationship- but the show is not doing justice to Gopi's character and could do more justice by giving the character a spine now that she has been in Modi house for a year. Why does she need Ahem to teach her- when she is shown as extremely intelligent- she could be shown as perceptive and coming up as an equal to all intelligent and educated people like Ahem and Koki.

If Gopi did all that she would not be Gopi. This character is unique because Gopi looks at good in everything. Even if it hurts. Agree that nobody in reality will be like her. But that is why it is a serial. Also the basic concept of the show is how a true saathiya helps you at all times. We have just started that Journey with Ahem and Gopi. Till now he was not even in the horizon for her. But he is slowly starting to be that person who will help Gopi overcome what you think are her faults. So all I would day is have patience

I really like your comment and your positive outlook. Hopefully, before there is complete character destruction and womens' image is dismembered, the CVs will realise what damage they are doing. Gopi is loveable one reason to watch the show, but it is intolerable when she is shown so incapable of thinking and judging, especially when she is so brilliant ( think of Kinjal's wedding). she should be projected more and in a just manner, not Rashi as somehow escaping the wrath that should be due to her just because Gopi protects her- there are so many instances of unrealistic, old fashioned and outdated portrayal- Gopi is straight out of the silent generation- is that possible in this day and age even where a girl has been abused she would not be like this. If the viewers have to wait till the CVs get is right with consisent portrayal - that is of an intellilgent Gopi it will be a let down each time we watch.
